so where are these improvements to the service? the idea was to shutdown for the specific reason of adding/making improvements... as usual, probably was just to save some $$$ (ea style)
I would guess that too.Originally Posted by heetsauce

Looks like I spoke too soon. The price of xbox live gold will be increased on November 1st. I'm sure everyone got the same email I did but here are the new prices:Originally Posted by xIronWarlordx

I really pissed about this.I love the new features they're adding like Hulu and ESPN (soccer ftw), but now we gotta pay more if all we want is multiplayer. They should really add an intermediate subscription.
I think a gold membership should be just silver with multiplayer, and a platinum membership could be the whole package.
...btw, I think other upgrades to the service might be on the way. From what I saw at E3, they're revamping the dashboard for use with kinect so we could possibly get a friends list increase then. If we don't get it by the end of the year tho, it definitely won't happen.
EDIT: I found something interesting when looking for details on the update. http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/26/re...nect-with-you/

Trials HD doesn't need a gold account. All the game features are available with a silver account.
I look at it like this:Originally Posted by xIronWarlordx

My "subscription" to the kush -
1-month | $240
3-month | $720
12-month | $2880damn habits...
A couple of bucks more per month for access to a plethora of goodies shouldn't break too many banks. Sixty bucks for a whole year of access?! I spend that much per week on grass and I get the same amount of time consuming enjoyment from both.
I sound like a Microsoft ad.... umm, except for the whole marijuana references.![]()
