Haha.. that would make things pretty interesting.. but the Reptile can't compete with the Phoenix when it comes to acceleration from a stop, or from a lower speed.

How did you get the distances measured for this? Did you lay out triggers in a line or change editor mode to In Flames?
I just realised this and wondered if that was how you got precise measurement.

Re: Bike Speed (With Suprising Results!)

Initially, I was going to lay triggers out, but then I realized that the 8m trigger was the same length as one editor block. So I just counted off the blocks until I got to 11 of them, and then added a 4 metre trigger at the end (100 metres).

At each end of the 100 metres, I put a checkpoint, with the checkpoint at the end being the finish line. I put the starting line well before the start of the 100 metres so i could get all the bikes to full speed.

After I had several runs of the same time for each bike, I removed the finish line, and ran the bike to the first checkpoint. I subtracted the second time from the first time, and that gave me the time for the 100 metres at full speed.

Lol, probably would have helped to find this out earlier.

I was thinking about this some more, wondering which is faster uphill at different angles? If you play Upwardly Mobile, it's easy to get very similar times with both Scorpion and Phoenix, so how steep/long does a slope have to be before the Phoenix is the clear winner? Or will it win? I'll get busy on a couple of experements at home and try and see if I can help people work out which bike to use for each situation and shave off some extra seconds!
