Jumping across 3 boxes all on the back wheel is what makes the difference. Control like that will take hundreds of hours of practice for many.....but for some - like me - it will just never happen.

It's like the "flips".....I sometimes get it bang on, but can never do it again !

Not easy.

remember though that these guys at the very top of the leaderboards are freakishly good. i'm in top 170 but the gap between them and me is HUGE in terms of skill.

i, like you, will never be that good.

so don't even think about them when you're playing. do what i do and set your sights much much lower

I'm ranked about 330, and I have about 10 people ahead of me. I try to use their replays to make myself better, and since adding all those people to my friends list (in the last 3 weeks) I have improved on many of the tracks that I have gone back to.
