    A few editor questions

Hi I am new here and dont see any other topics so far on this so figured I would ask.

1: After objects are glued and moved to the desired location how do I unglue them?

2: I notice a gauge for allowed objects in any particular area but is there a gauge for the entire map?
I find myself creating too many objects and the game then telling me I cannot save the map.

    Thanks,

    Re: A few editor questions

1: to unglue you need to select seperate items by holding the left bumper and then go into the item options and unselect the item its glued to. glueing items together takes up room in your room though so an easier way to move a group of objects is to hold the left bumper and select all the objects you want to move, then move them as one.

2: there is no gauge for the whole level you just have to guesstimate how far off you are. its a 1000 object limit i think.

    Re: A few editor questions

i can confirm the 1000 object limit. also, for some reason there is a 30 checkpoint limit, but you physically cant put that 31's checkpoint in, so theres no need to worry about that.

what you will need to worry about, is the storage space needed for the level - after compression it needs to be 8kb or less, and theres no damn indicator for that either.

see 'the dreaded object limit' thread for more details

    Cool thanks for the replies!!

Another thing I was noticing last night is when I select an object the camera zooms on it so I cannot see what I am doing with the selected object.

Is there a way to turn that off?

There isn't a way to turn this off, but hold the button you use to multi-select objects (left bumper?) and then you should be able to zoom out while the object is selected. When you want to move the object, release the button.

This has helped me.. hope this works for you too.

also dont move the camera past an object you have selected or you selected objects get placed all weird. if you have multiple objects selected and are moving the camera around make sure you move it back out away from them so they dont move at random.
