I ride MTB quite a lot, but recently tried it in the local skate park and it got me putting knowledge of riding ramps into my gaming on THD and my ranking has been climbing ever since!
If you get them right, there are so many little techniques you can use for each obsticle to get the fastest line.
ie. pumping into a downward slope so you carry the speed through and out the other side, rather than bouncing in and having no solid contact with the floor.
Main thing is keeping the power flowing and don't catch air when you don't need to!
You can tell when you're getting it right when your controller doesn't vibrate every time you land.
See if you can finish something like 'where's the ground?' without vibrating (til the end)
I never knew about that since I never use the vibration on any game.
my controller just seems to randomly vibrate if i leave vibration on so i just turn it off.Originally Posted by EuphoricFusion
I don't use mainly due to the fact that it makes my hands ache if I'm playing for a long period of time.
What do you mean by pumping into a downward slope?
I don't know if it applies to Trials, but when on a bike if you go down a slope and press the bike forward and down at the bottom you carry more momentum.
If you're riding down a ramp in real-life and you press your weight down at the right time, you'll increase your speed exponentially. I honestly don't know if the exact same principle applies for Trials HD but leaning back at the curved part of the ramp does help somewhat.
It doesn't make a HUGE difference in the game, but it can help you get that extra second off a good run.
