    Re: Midnight club 527

    Wow, im so pissed off...
Got ALL the way through this tournament with 1 fault, all the way to Brown boxes.
Faulted 5 times on brown boxes - 3 on the three slanted boxes, and 2 on the box tilting upwards
Faulted 5 times on Greatest Hits - 4 at the beginning, i faulted twice and jjust didnt care anymore and faulted another 2 times, and the other one was really random..

So i finish with 11 faults, when potentially i could have had 1?
Wow...i give up on this stupid thing.

    Re: Midnight club 527

Buy me an HDMI capture card and splitter and I'll do it again

Even I got nervy when up to Greatest Hits with 0 faults... think I screwed up 3 times at that point before I finally got it, mostly because I'm too stubborn to slow down

The trick is to convince yourself that it's OK if you fault, because you can ALWAYS try again, and get up to the same spot with a similar or better time. Once you've convinced yourself of that (even if you don't believe it), you can play freely because you're not burdened by the fear of faulting and ruining the good run you had up to that point. This is the single biggest piece of advice I can give, for individual tracks and tournaments alike.

This is how I play the individual tracks for sure. I make one run through with as many faults as I need to make it through, so I am comfortable with the layout of the course. Then I make successive runs as quickly as I can (still much slower than many of you). If I fault or slow down on an obstacle, I start over, and over, and over. I will eventually get comfortable with all of the obstacles near the beginning, and find a way to zero fault the run in a decent time.

A tournament on the other hand.. I don't know if I have that kind of time. I have to iron out the rest of diabolic first.
