Well Lately I've been searching through the forums and I've found how in touch everyone here is (which is great!) and I started thinking... who were really talking to. My riding experience definitely makes me believe it's helped me catch onto this game much faster unlike other's I know who never even heard of a trials bike. (and they kinda suck) There might have already been a thread for this but if not then go ahead and post your story. Basically, do you think riding in real life benefits you in this type of game
(pictures of your bikes would be cool too) Heres mine:

Firstly, asking people if they are obese invalids is A. Never going to get an honest answer if they are, and B. Insulting (even if it's just a query, not an accusation). You certainly shouldn't be making it sound as though being morbidly obese or riding trials in real life are the only two logical conclusions; we prefer to keep things a little more dignified in here than your typical 13-year-old Microsoft fanboys.
The more valid question is whether any of the members of the forums, or any of the highly-ranked players, are trials riders in real life. I myself am, but am not directly aware of any other Trials HD players who are. Certainly no other regulars on the forums have said they are that I can remember.
The closest I can come to doing it in real life is Skate. I skate in real life and have been as fanatical about those games as I am with trials. I dont think the real life experience helped me with skate, but it does help me enjoy it that much more. After playing this game, it makes me wish I could afford a real trials bike.
And if you are really curious, I am about 6 foot tall and 175 pounds. Blue eyes, Dark blonde hair, and a killer tan. I typically wear jeans and a t-shirt.
First of all Im not a 13 year old fan boy nor to old to be playing video games and you need to not only read the text. The thread was to find out if any of the skilled riders here have experience in real life and if it benefits them.
It has always struck me as interesting that the best rider (see above) is also involved in trials in real life. May just be a co-incidence however there must be some correlation. I think that it would help to have done trials in real life due to the indepth understanding of the physics/momentum etc, not just the ability to use a controller well.Originally Posted by BlueRambo7
I think it is credit to the developers that this is the case. I played Gridiron (Americal football) for 7+ years but I am still a pretty crappy linebacker in madden!
Yes I think we all know the best rider ( Off Topic)but I don't get why anyone here gives this guy a single second of your day. He may be extremely good but this is the pretty much the only game he plays..Originally Posted by FatShady

Well, I can say my pedal bike riding has definitely helped me, I am 32 now and a little bit less insane but when I was younger I could turn around a car on a wheelie with one hand, I still can go down a hill at 40 miles per hour on a wheelie or go a half kilometer distance pretty easily, basically I love balancing on one wheel and I feel this helped me in Trials along with a little enduro bike riding, but I'd just say I am a natural in a sense, I know some friends who have tried and it didn't come naturally to all of them, but I do believe any experience with a 2-wheeled vehicle helps, and the more you can push in real life the better your understanding of physics help, provided the game you are playing has an accurate physics engine, which Trials HD does generally except the ability to flip which is exaggerated for gameplay's sake
