im just wondering how many people of the 700,000+ people who bought trials have the big pack

Over 25% of the player base now has bought the DLC (one player in four). This is a huge sales percentage if you look at any DLC of any game. Currently the DLC and the game are selling pretty much the same every day (almost 100% of new players own the DLC), so the percentage of DLC owners keeps rising all the time. It's enterely possible that more than one third of the players (33%) own the DLC before the end of this year.

According to the current weekly DLC sales compared to the weekly game sales, it seems that majority of the active Trials HD players own the DLC. And also this would mean that almost 30% of our player base is still active (after half year of the release). That's fantastic for any arcade game.

I'd say a good part of 150,000 people, why did you ask?

The reason i asked is because some of the people we are being compared to in the Global Ranking + DLC don't even have the DLC, so say someone is higher than you in the global ranking that does not have the DLC, in the global ranking + DLC it is likely that there are people better than you at the game that are not better than you in the DLC because they never even played it.

dude, you seriously messed up my brain on that one! had to read it twice. it's 9.57am here.

i think i get it though. you're saying not having the DLC negatively affects your GR right? well you've got GR with DLC, and GR without DLC, in the leaderboards. so it covers all bases.

i wonder what's the main reason for the massive uptake of DLC for Trials HD though? is it because it's so incredibly cheap? or is it simply because the game is so addictive? i think the DLC price point was genius and the key to all the DLC sales. other game devs could learn a lot from that.

Im saying that the global ranking + DLC is inaccurate to actually how good you are compared to other people. There are probably some people better than you that did not get the DLC, which makes your global ranking + DLC better than you actually are.

I would guess that someone willing to put in enough hours to get towards the top of the leaderboards would also be getting the DLC. I dont know though because my global ranking before DLC is around 43 and my GR with the DLC is in the mid teens. I think I will slowly drop as better riders play the new tracks and tournaments more. I guess I got a little head start by playing the hell out of it as soon as it came out.

Rough estimate is that about one third of the total player base have it.
