Serial / User / Uninstall Question

Hello, sorry (in advance) for my bad english.

i bought this game some time ago.
played it with some friends a few times.
    reinstalled windows.
    forgot about this game.
now (today) i remembered there was this funny game and i redownloaded it and installed it.
i had to fill out my serial.
    now heres the problem:
i looked into my email cache, and filled out the serial i got (after buying)
but its was the wrong one.
i bought the game a few times (cause my friends didnt have paypal) so i got serveral keys in my email cache.
i tried to uninstall the game and reinstall it, but it didnt ask me for my serial again.
i was logged in (as one of my friends) directly.
how can i change the serial to my useraccount?
i dont want to play as one of my friends.
    hope you can help me.
(btw. i actually use windows 7 64bit ultimate)

It would be great if Redlynx support can provide the details of locating the serial number of the game in the registry.

Of course, accessing the registry is done at users risk.

Deleting, changing / modifying the registry can prevent your computer from starting, so you have to know what you are doing.

But i've seen this question too many times, Redlynx - is there a way to find the serial in regedit?

Re: Serial / User / Uninstall Question

If you bought the game from our webstore, the game will create a License.dat file under your user profile.

In Windows XP this folder is:
    C:\Documents and Settings\[User]\Local Settings\Application Data\Redlynx\Trials 2 SE\1.0
(Local Settings and Application Data are hidden folders, so you may need to change the explorer settings to make them visible.)

If I remember right, deleting this license file will make the game to ask the license key again.

Steam version handles the license differently and sets it in registry, but you shouldn't need to worry about it.

Path to find the file in Windows 7 64 bit:
    C:\Users\[YOURNAME]\AppData\Local\Redlynx\Trials 2 SE\1.0

You will find a license.dat file in that directory. Delete it and the game will ask for your serial key at the next startup.

I've tested the above method, and it works seamlessly! Thanks for looking into it.
