Thanks so much fella's, took a whole bunch of people off my list yesterday in order to make room for dozens more at a time VS one at a time. I used to keep my list full with you fella's from the general discussion section, Which is basically pointless because if you see anything you like posted in my thread, Then you are welcome to hit me up whenever you guy's like. Most of you however are busy posting times on maps where your homies can actually spectate your performance. I don't blame you. So now, Not only are we lacking replays, And leaderboards ( Not RedLynx fault ), But have been accidently segregated. For Example..... Let's say Redrider686 pulls off one of his amazing runs on a certain in game map. The next day there would be dozens of topics IN THE GENERAL DISCUSSION SECTION, regarding map details, Obstacles, The proper techniques required to pass them. ( The people who made these maps must love this ), Wow, HARDCORE Trials HD riders like the top ten must put hours into perfecting there skill, And or posting the best times and finding the best maneuvers to properly navigate each course. Along with the obviously useful USER CREATED TRACK SECTION, Custom map topics should be discussed more frequently in the General discussion section as well, In order to influence the big dogs to compete on these tracks, THESE TRACKS, WHICH TRACKS? Hmmmm.... Now that Jarrett is making HD videos, Why not have a bunch a week, With the video links in a combined pole ( WITH A STICKY ) for the GDS And the UCT section to decide on. This will provide more incentive for the best of the best. I'm sorry but i thought that this game was about Racing and being able to make your own maps correct. So..... You are going to tell me that i have an unbelievable amount of admiration for Lestropie showing off an immense amount of mathematical calculation and riding skill and putting in a lot of his free time to entertain us all, But......... Here's the F#$KED up part. How about the admiration I have for the best mappers. What about the immense amount of mathematical calculation, Editing skills, And 18 hours a day by mappers like R0T IN or RedRider686 or the hundreds of other gamers that spend there whole days in the editor VS the in game challenges. These people are just as dedicated to Trials, And love the game the same way you leaderboard guy's do. And put in just as much work. But..... Are in a different section than where all the big dogs hang out. Great that there is a UCTS, But the best of the best mappers deserve there credit as well. I have so much more to say regarding this issue. But, i'll here some feedback from you mofo's first.

I'm not following you at all. Is this about creating videos for people's tracks and voting on the best, having map discussions posted in the general section, or something about having a proper leaderboard for custom tracks? Mind summing up your ideas in a "For Dummies" type style?

Basically 10 custom maps a week, Chosen by RedLynx, Then video recorded in HD by Jarrett or whomever. Videos then posted up in both sections with poles & stickies. Letting us decide what three are the best of that week. Then until the next weeks winner. I'm sure the top dogs won't want to be left out of a more forum popular topic of custom tracks of the week. And all the other little details that are discussed in maps like Prison Break, But were not discussed before, When it was a custom, And i played it all the time.

weekly/monthly custom track comps is what i've been waiting for for a long time. last track competition even was like.. years ago. anyway voting on a youtube would be ok because its hard to fit everyone on a 100 person max list. i think the videos would have to be a bit more indepth though.. a bit of exploring/dying to show the track off instead of just trying to 0fault plat it. that way in a youtube vid you'd still be able to get a good idea of all the looks in it.

once the weekend challenge gets going again a bit of what you're talking about skum will be happening. it's good to see people competing and tossing tips back and forth but it happens too rarely in customs.. i've only seen it with the weekly challenge. hopefully the poll comps would add some life to the custom side too

Totally agreed HEET. But...... TrialsHD.net. As awesome as it is isn't enough. People only listen to what RedLynx, Lestopie, and other top tier players have to say. Your idea's for the video, Spot on. P.S. Totally understand multiple reasons though for the big dog to stay out of this. Unless, It were decided here, What custom tracks of the week were lag free, And play worthy.

i'd say multiple round voting, that way the weakest get filtered out and the ones with the most votes go back into a re-vote semifinals type deal. say a top 5 or something, with props for the gold, silver & bronze and honorable mention for the other 2.

this whole idea depends on activity though... so if people dont jump on this it will quickly die.

after discussing with a couple trials heavies, some more thoughts;

the youtube vids are important in this case, because maybe we have some lurking noobs on here who can't make it through the citadels, badlands, or am2's. with a video he/she who maybe hasn't even played the game can see what's up and cast a vote on what looks the coolest to them.

taking this to trialshd.net, here on redlynx, and possibly some other sites would greatly improve the voting turnout i think. just do some trials hd googling, there are discussions going on about it on all kinds of sites.

a bit of support from anba and co. would also get people interested. im not saying endorsement or free stuff, just some words. all i know is when you guys drop a comment in a thread, alot more follow.

gamescrub, i know he was getting around to doing this and by all means scrub do it up. i think you could use some help and if you put a small team together for trialshd.net support it'd help. someone making vids, someone promoting on sites, starting threads, someone organizing rankings, etc etc. you know what im saying scrub, you're strapped for time as it is.

keep the idea, i think you just lost some people on here on trying to find this topic lol. I got your voice message, then struggled to find out where on earth this poll was. Make a separate thread dude outside of your custom maps then you will get more responses. I think its a fine idea though and would get more custom track creators work noticed as its a jungle in the user generated track category these days.

Well, You can all start by voicing opinions on this very relevant matter. And also by letting ANBA know your thoughts or likings on the idea. It's the big names and our friends at RedLynx that really have the only influence to make this happen.

To get idea moving i suggest someone summing it up in way that people can get it instantly. Its pretty long start and you have to follow all quote parts so thats why its not noted i think.

Step 1. RedLynx would pick about 10 lag free, Good playing custom maps a week.

step 2. Jarrett88 or someone else, Can HD capture certain Highlights of each level.

step 3. The video links go into a combined pole from the UCT section, And the General Discussion section to vote on, With stickies

Step 4. Maybe 3 maps a week picked. 1 medium, 1 hard, 1 extreme.

Step 5. After each weeks victors are decided. To openly discuss the fastest routes and techniques required to get the fastest times, Easter eggs, time savers, Exc.......

OUTCOME. Certain mappers who put in work 18 hours a day to bringing you guy's more quality maps, Might even have something to look forward to.
