Also you can try a counter weight.....Weight on one end, connected to a see saw, and the other see saw connected to the metal plate. Trigger physics to weight falling and door should open upwards.

    that one lmao :L
lol thats two different ideas But glad I was able to help! Good luck!

easy place the plate vertically across driving line then place a rocket above it(high enough to be out of view) glue these together and have them both locked to driving line. if u have 1 trigger on the track which you drive through to activate phyz on the plate you want to rise and 1 above the rocket with none of the boxes selected which is linked to the plate too. so as you hit the first trigger the plate starts to rise then the rocket hits the second to stop it and because the plate isnt moving very far you dont have to add loads of other stuff to limit its movement. using pistons also works but uses up quite a bit of complexity this way you only use 4 objects - 1 door(whatever object you want) 1 rocket booster and 2 triggers. i used this same idea on bandit dribbles 6 just before 1st checkpoint if u want to see it working. hope this helps

Before the DLC I used a pulley system, or "scale of Justice" type device. I still prefer this to pistons, but it is a lot more complex.
