The game will not let me change my shared tracks. When I'm in the shared list and I press Y to confirm changes nothing happens. Tried restarting my xbox and still the same thing.
I dont know if this glitch has been seen by sebbbi or anyone else.Plus I wasnt going to read every reply in this thread to make sure. This glitch has actually happened to me only one time too.It wasnt that much of an issue and it didnt cause a big problem. And it only happened on one of my tracks with only like two specific objects. It went away very soon though.I would look into it sometime.Originally Posted by WILLYUMZ![]()
And may I say that Infinity Ward should learn from Redlynx. 1st listen to your fans and find the problems, which in the case of Mw2 was a **** load. 2nd actually do something about them. And if these steps are completed then your game shouldnt turn into the laughing stock of the video game world.Well atleast not as fast.![]()
So thanks Redlynx. You never dissapoint me.
Found this video on youtube looks like something you guys should look into fixing

i don't know if this is the right place to post it but i didn't want to make a new thread.
there is one thing in the editor that annoys me much!
when u take an object and u switch it twice 90° in different directions (switch it, change direction, switch it again - push lb, rb, lb) then the object moves a little bit and doesn't stop how it's supposed to. it moves just a little (a few degrees i guess) but that's really annoying when u try to work really accurate.
is this a bug?
This is not a bug. The track data is compressed heavily to fit into the 8kb limit we have for online sharing. Long time ago I explained in another thread how the rotation compression works, but I can't find the post now. It should be somewhere here or in the level editor discussion. The lossy data compression was required, because of the very limited track sharing size limit. Without compression each object would take around four times it's current space in the file (meaning you could use four times less objects in your tracks before hitting the size limiter).Originally Posted by DrittesAuge
hm. ok thanks. i don't understand 100% why the object moves automatically but i think you cannot fix that in the future, right...?Originally Posted by sebbbi
When you place an object, the object position and rotation are compressed with a lossy compression algorithm. That's why the object can slightly displace itself when it's placed. There will be no fix as the compression is really important feature of the system, it's not a bug. Without it the user tracks would be really simple.Originally Posted by DrittesAuge
