    What else are you into?

I see alot of the same people on here and was wondering what you guys are into.

    I'm into:

Music: mostly mashups and remixs. this guy is the prime example of what i like is http://partyben.com/downloads/ . I like modern music and don't have a nostalgic bone in my body. I get alot of my music from movies or music blogs (http://audioabsinthe.com/blog/)

Sports: I love MMA, anderson silva and bj penn are my favorite fighters and i can't wait for rampage vs rashad. I also like nfl, and a fantasy team is indespensible when your team is having a bad year. Very much looking forward to the World Cup.

Books: i love reading and actually have an eng degree from a UNC school. I know you can't tell from my posts but my degree isn't in punctuation. I like fantasy and sci-fi. Favorite books are: Snow Crash, The Beach, Heart of Darkness, Enders Game. Also really like detective books.

I worked on Obamas campaign team here in NC during the primaries last yr.

I work for a software company specializing in software for social workers. It's a work at home job and it allows me to play alot of trials.

I love movies but rarely go to them. I mostly just download them. Netflix on the xbox is pretty cool it turns out. I've watched lots of cool stuff i woulda missed otherwise. i highly recommend getting netflix for the xbox.

TV: House, Office, 30 Rock, Rescue Me, Lie to Me, Sons of Anarchy, How i met your mother, the league, sunny in philly, scrubs, burn notice....nothing where murder is the primary plot device and without a doubt the best writing/best show on tv is Lost and i'm eagerly awaiting the final season on Feb 2nd.

thats a bit about me, anyone else feel like sharing?

If I'm not playing on my xbox, I'm usually out on my mountain bike.
I ride a bit of downhill, street and a little trials too.
This game has given me some new insights on moving my weight whilst riding, that has actually improved my riding and I'm now getting about 5-6inches higher when trying to hop up walls or high steps!
    Result!

Great job on your english degree Ender!
and dont worry man i have a journalism degree and i cant spell my own name! or be bothered watching the news, reading papers etc, if anything the degree just ignited a hatred for all types of news mediums and how they are broadcast in society.
Im from Ireland, 24 years old. Have not done a thing since finishing college, currently saving as much dosh as i can as myself and girlfriend are going travelling for a year, hoping to start in Canada and work our way down to south america(its been a life long ambition to go cliff diving in mexico).
Into all types of music, feeling a bit of Radiohead in rainbows, them crooked vultures, at the moment, but never stray too far from jah almighty bob the legend marley!
Crazy about football or soccer as you guys call it. Books wise i love abit of louis de beirnies, david mitchell and i actually really liked the beach, it was way better than the film with a f00ked up ending. Well thats me, why i felt the need to write all that down ill never know, self therapy i suppose, oh yeah and im hooked on trials hd and thc

I'm not much into the fight night series, i'm just not that into boxing altho i would probably be into Maywether v Pacio. I thought ufc undisputed was very well done and am considering the sequel. The new EA mma game looks horrible, it looks like Fight Night 2.

I'm curious about your music. Do you do beats or do you make music/songs? I know there are people who think all music should be from instruments but more and more i find very well done music that was made mostly on a computer i assume. For instance for a week now i've been listening to Broken Bells, the guy from the Shins and Danger Mouse (Grey Album), while i do my work and i think most of it was done on a computer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mkr19RSG6k

Any of your music on the web skum?

I'm all about the drums in rock band. I only do medium(?) cause any harder i start missing notes and it's not as fun. It's definitly one of the better party games out there. I like all the chilli pepper songs and when i last borrowed the drums from a friend i did it with Guitar Hero 5 and there was one song that i loved doing over and over http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7aOWIFgIZQ

In america we have cable news networks which consist of the Republican(Fox News), the Democrat(MSNBC) and one thats in the middle but leans Democrat(imo) CNN. Its like with every source you have to take into consideration which side of the argument(and there's plenty) they're on. The least bias source seems to be the magazine Rolling Stone. One of the things i thank trials for is for allowing me to watch less cable news. It's revolting how partisan my country is. It's getting in the way of some severely needed changes.

No offense to canadians, but why canada? That place is ridiculously painfully cold. If it's snowboarding you're after i recommend the moutains of West Virgina. If your going through the states i also recommend Manhattan and New Orleans. In between those two it depends on what you're after. The beaches in North Carolina are also very nice. Avoid the Jersey Shore at all costs.

Yea radiohead never disappoints. One of my favorite remixs of the year was a Radiohead song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hT3SxH_q40&feature=fvw Bob Marley was one of the soundtracks to my high school years so i don't listen to him often but i don't turn it off if i hear it and no denying his greatness.

That handball by henri was pretty bad. I felt for the irish fans on that one, but what can you do. Maybe they'll add instant replay like we have in all the american sports. Don't know who i'm going for in the Cup but i usually like watching Brazil, Itatly and i was usually Portugal when i played Fifa back in the day.

Yes, the ending of the Beach was probably the scariest ending to a book i've ever read. I read that thing 9 times before i got every little bit, from way the chapter titles fit each chapter to the theme of unrequited desire which is what ruins the paradise. The first half of the movie works but when they light those flying lanterns it all goes downhill from there.

If you like sci-fi check out Snow Crash. It's about a samurai hacker named Hiro Protagonist. Written in 1991 the author pretty much calls everything from the Internet to xbox live to media conglomerates. Add in a Babylonian computer virus and it is a very interesting read.

Re: What else are you into?

Music - Any Dream Theater song will make me happy, and I'm also into 80's and 90's music. I also appreciate a few trance songs.

Sports - I'm not much of a sporty person but I like games like basketball, soccer, and, unrelated, using my pogo stick

Books - What? Bo-o-k... bo-ok... book? What be this book? Is this something I store my favorite internet bookmarks in? Just kidding, I hate books with a passion

Movies - Comedies are the best, but any non-romance movie with a good story will keep me interested.

TV - That's where my Trials rider lives. Occasionally, I'll ask him to stand aside and let me watch Kenny vs. Spenny (greatest show ever, by the way! It's coming on in a few minutes, actually ).

Job - I currently have a part time job at McDonalds and the only thing I've learned from it so far is that burns turn to bubbles. I'm probably going to get a new job somewhere else if I can find one.

Hobbies - I like playing Trials, and I used to be a huge Guitar Hero nut like Jarr3tt88. I think you (Jarr3tt88) might actually understand my awesome when I say I've still got the skill to beat Jordan in GH2 I don't really have any hobbies besides video games

And just for the record, ender, my summers here in Canada are hot. My winters are not dreadfully cold, nor do I freeze my *** off walking out the door. Leave your stereotypes at home

Re: What else are you into?

I'm 18 (turning 19 this year) years old, from Stockholm in Sweden. I don't have as much time for gaming as I once used to (having school to worry about), but I still play Trials. Oh, and I've been playing the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games for the majority of my life time. If anyone is interested in seeing my THPS videos some of them are on my YouTube channel. I still play and I'm still considered a decent player, although the community is pretty much non-existent these days.

Apart from gaming I'm into music. Video games and music is basically what I do. I've pulled many all nighters bidding on rare records (or tapes) on eBay. For the past few years I've gotten into a lot of black metal, and black metal (NOTE: I strongly oppose the elitist ******baggery that is customary in this scene) is what the majority of my vinyl collection consists of, especially the progressive kind. However, I like pretty much any kind of music, as long as it's well composed.

Our school system is different than what you all are used to, but basically I'm currently on the home stretch as I finish school this summer. I mainly study mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. Seeing things in retrospect, this was a poor choice on my side; what I really doing (and what I'm actually good at) is philosophy, psychology and languages.

What you consider cold and what i do are probably 30 degrees difference. I went to Montreal as a teen and it was like having a headache on the outside of my head it hurt so bad. Your blood is probably like syrup(thick), while mine isn't. You probably couldn't take the heat down here in Carolina. Yesterday i had to put shorts on because it was so warm here, in late January. I just couldn't live there. Being cold is so uncomfortable to me, granted i have little body fat to keep the heat in but still i'd take hot & humid over freezing cold anyday.

Which province you live in Taco?

That's interesting. How old were you when you had to "choose". Who's your favorite philosopher? I guess i like Jung cause i like the idea of an unconscious collective.
