My parents complain that I get up early at 6AM... do you have the HD cables? If you have an Elite, what about an HDMI cable? Those are necessary to get the HD look you're going for

You can't expect the picture to be just perfect right out of the box. You have to mess with the TV's setting AND the Xbox's display properties. Plus the quality may not be very good with just the regular yellow (composite) cable. Upgrade to a Component red green blue if you dont have an HDMI. But I think just playing with settings will help. Some smaller HD TVs though are complete **** compared to older CRT ones...

Its odd I prefer Component to HDMI for most games and watching video. Less sharpness and more vivid color. Every TV may be different though!

£3 online is a bit on the expensive side... you can get them here for £1.85 or if you cannot wait ASDA sell them for £7 and Home Bargins (if you have a store near you) do them for £3

And if you do decide to go with a HDMI cable then you need to remove your existing A/V Cable and just use the HDMI cable. Setup the Xbox and the TV and the picture should not be fuzzy.

And to me the HDMI cable gives a better picture than the HD cable supplied with the xbox (the one with 6 phono leads).

I was having audio issues with the hdmi cable, seems my tv cant relay the sound to my theatre sound system. I have no problems with using my rgb HD cables though.

does your av reciever not have an hdmi in? thats what I use for hdmi devices, my 360 goes into the amp on component and optical and then it converts it to hdmi and sends to my tv, fairly nice setup as i have a single lead burried in the wall up to the tv and everything goes along that one hdmi cable.
