    Re: Easter Eggs

The Star trek book only came up in a detailed search on Google, I'm not an actual fan myself Have watched a hell of a lot of the various TV series's though.

Carl Sagan also was down to Google, all I did was search the right words out lol. Once searched it was uncanny how many of our eggs appeared in the TV series he did in the 80's.

This may be a productive path to folllow, I honestly don't know right now. Have lost a bit of momentum egg wise

Oh and Shady, I'll try and get Gaminglives.com to look at the article. How do I submit it to them though mate? Do I send them the link to your site or Kotaku? All I have for them is a mail addy and I'm not the most computer savvy fella in here lol.

I'll try and get some pics.

Firstly, thanks for the Carl Sagan vid! ^ Was wonderful! It is uncanny how much his work crosses into this.

Secondly, hats off and pants down everyone to FatShady, the man is going to huge lengths to get this solved! Getting a segment on the biggest gaming show in Australia, well, bugger me, thats an unbelievable effort. I wish we all had as much gusto to keep at this as him. Well done sir! *salutes*

Thirdly! My daughter was watching family guy today. Not sure if its just pareidolia or not, but it instantly got my attention.

Firstly, b4 it starts, it says "Tonights episode of Family Guy was recently discovered in Peter Griffins basement, along with number of other lost episodes.
Then,Stewey gets stuck on the roof, I'm pretty sure he said he was counting the "how many stars were in Orions *****"
Then, there was the scene from Back to the Future! Which I'm sure someone had mentioned in here about the flaming tire tracks.

Anyway, the episode is "The Juice is Loose" I'll try and track it down and watch more closely!

I had it on my hard drive. It could have been referenced as it went to air in March 2009 but I doubt it is related. The orions reference is likely to just be a coincidence and the back to the future reference is probably just there because stewie was on the roof in a storm and there was a chance to make a BTTF reference about Michael J Fox.

Just be happy you got to see that much Conway Twitty.. I love that guy.

Interesting that it was called a LOST episode though.. It is funny but this riddle seems to come up in the strangest places.

    @FatShady
As I thought, I'm just seeing this damn puzzle in everything! Every time the tv is on, my ears pick up anytime i hear a clue, every webpage I look at has something linked to something, I think I'm going mad! ANBA has a lot to answer for!

That blue dot vid was beautiful. Imagine all the rivers of blood spilled to become the temporary ruler of a fraction of a spec.. or something like that.. truly humbling words.

my brain is starting to hurt. I am 'acquiring' 2001 space odyssey now so i can watch that. I suspect that it may be useful, given the link to kubrick and space?

If you think about the junkyard clue, there are two boxes both owned by film makers and surrounded in mystery. Perhaps this is a clue that relates to film in some way...? Not sure.

I'm not sure it has been raised before, but do you think there is a link between the easter egg and the track on which it is found? It's quite obvious for Space Station, but what of the others?

BTW what is your IQ Anba? Just so we have an idea of the task at hand

If you mean a link between the name of the track and the egg found in that track, I would think not. The main reason for this thinking is ANBA was the only one who knew about the riddle initially. I doubt he convinced all of the other developers to design and name their tracks based on specific themes/ideas contained in the riddle that were known only to him. I don't know, that's just my theory.
