This was posted on page 9 of this tread and i think it relates to the encrypted sentance: Jinrcp'c wuoir lvcodcc gyvq rri pkkc, K fjygioh nkxf kpqy sdpipc ksshyxgcOriginally Posted by ANBA
There's an infinite number of algorithms that could have been used to encrypt the message, so going true all of them is impossible. If this message is accualy part of a famous encrypted document and somehow has hystoric value we could consider writting to The national cryptologic museum in Washington DC: http://www.nsa.gov/about/cryptologic_heritage/museum/ The website states that The National Cryptologic Museum has had an adjunct reference library since it opened in 1993. The library not only supports the exhibits, but also encourages visitors to research various areas of cryptologic history. Over the years, the library has become an important resource to students, scholars, and those with an interest in this once secret world.
If you guys see this as a possible path to take, i would want to ask someone with a beter understanding and grammar skills of english then me to whrite te mail![]()
And on a side note: Steganography is the art and science of writing hidden messages in such a way that no one, apart from the sender and intended recipient, suspects the existence of the message, a form of security through obscurity. The word steganography is of Greek origin and means "concealed writing" from the Greek words steganos (????????) meaning "covered or protected", and graphei (?????) meaning "writing". The first recorded use of the term was in 1499 by Johannes Trithemius in his Steganographia, a treatise on cryptography and steganography disguised as a book on magic. Generally, messages will appear to be something else: images, articles, shopping lists, or some other covertext and, classically, the hidden message may be in invisible ink between the visible lines of a private letter. When Anba wrote earlier to Bluemage and Fliptaco: 'Hope you kept the boxes'... my first tought was that there was some kind of hidden message still to be found, worth checking out guys!
I'm pretty sure he has the solution. I don't know if it's posted in this thread or not. He gave me the text and the key along with a website that deciphered it.Originally Posted by LostNr

That I really appreciate, thank youOriginally Posted by ShiftySamurai![]()
I was thinking the same - his message either implies that or he simply hopes to have Blue and Flip to keep them for all the effort he put into it.Originally Posted by kobe745
But the possibilty to have some hidden message there seems more likely to me in this case.
Maybe it becomes visible through blacklight? Anybody with a blacklight lamp or pen here?

I just found this and am pissed cos I spent all morning on this! Oh well.
good findand dont feal bad: you were'nt the only one trying to solve it.
So we have: "Zephyr's sweet breezes calms the rage, a blocked path also offers guidance".
the first half of the phrase is part of a qhote by Catullus: Now Spring restores the balmy heat, now Zephyr's sweet breezes calm the rage of the equinoctial sky. This quote is part of a larger poem you can read here: http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Catullus_46
The second half of the phrase is a quote by Mason Cooley: http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/au...on_cooley.html
That would be the thread I was referring to earlier. Thanks for finding it again.
It's definitely "SU 122" and "SKA-788". It's written very neat and is unmistakeable.Originally Posted by kobe745
I'm also somewhat curious as to why Anba "hopes" we kept the boxes. The box is simply flat cardboard folded and stapled to hold a box shape. I'm thinking about pulling out the staples to see if they might have hidden anything under the folds, but at the same time I really don't want to damage this box![]()
Lol. The su122 is a self propelled howitzer aka TANK. I have no idea what a ska788 is.
Odd note. They went into production in 1942.
When running through translation software I came up with "Sun 122 to 778".
