PS: Please don't take offense at the slight thread name change.
Continue talking about Alien squirrel time traveling JJ Abrams.
Thanks Shifty.
WOW. After 47 pages this thread finally gets the recognition that it deserves.. Thanks Shiftyactually couldn't find it for a minute there)
Awesome.
EDIT: Also, I can't believe Shifty changed the name. I am so offended. I take it very personally that someone did something perfectly reasonable but for some reason I have an undeserving sense of entitlement where I can work outside of the rules and still feel obligated to accuse you of wrong doing, even where you clearly are trying to maintain some order around here...
Sorry man, to clarify that was my attempt at sarcasm because people around here need to lighten up about the things you do man. It's just a freaking forum and it's just a freaking game.
So I just re-read all 47 pages, and I only saw a couple of passing references to the meta-content of the tracks:
[list:3hni1sev]
[*:3hni1sev]Track names[/*:m:3hni1sev]
[*:3hni1sev]Track descriptions[/*:m:3hni1sev]
[*:3hni1sev]Platinum medal sayings[/*:m:3hni1sev]
[*:3hni1sev]Track preview loops[/*:m:3hni1sev]
[*:3hni1sev]Tournament "sketch" graphics[/*:m:3hni1sev][/list:u:3hni1sev]
If we are looking for a specific secret question, and specific secret answer, shouldn't there be some actual words involved in the mystery somewhere, instead of just mysteriously vaguely-related objects? (Yes, I know we have the number-sign, and the yet-to-be-decoded DNA, but I'd imagine there must be more.)
Has anyone ever gone through and cataloged all the track descriptions and platinum medal sayings, looking for clues, hints, cyphers, or hidden messages?
Has anyone really examined the preview loops closely to see if there are any clues or easter eggs in them that don't exist in the track itself?
Any other ideas about where else in the game we might look? Possibly among:
[list:3hni1sev]
[*:3hni1sev]Game credits[/*:m:3hni1sev]
[*:3hni1sev]Help/instructions[/*:m:3hni1sev]
[*:3hni1sev]Avatar awards[/*:m:3hni1sev]
[*:3hni1sev]Official videos (some of these have already been discussed)[/*:m:3hni1sev]
[*:3hni1sev]Other misc DLC content (XBox backgrounds?)[/*:m:3hni1sev][/list:u:3hni1sev]
One possible problem with this strategy: all the track meta-content is localized for players of different languages. Do we need to examine ALL of the different languages for clues/cyphers/hidden messages? Or just English? Or perhaps just Danish?
hehe, i started a thread called 'trackname easter eggs' wich you can find somewhere in the general discussion. It deals with all hidden messages found ingame (for example in the tracknames, descriptions or platinum messages)... there are quite a lot of those. If you scroll down a bit in general discussion you will come across it. It never really got popular as a thread but im pretty proud of the endresult: maybe Shifty can sticky this right under the easter eggs... just kindingOriginally Posted by MegaTrain

From a post (with images removed for space, click here for the original thread) from way back on page 11 regarding the "Secrets of Trials HD" video:
Did we ever come up with an idea of what these mean, and how they are related to our other clues?Originally Posted by Reaper392
Should we string them together, and try to pronounce the result? (Got this idea from the WIRED magazine puzzle issue article linked earlier in the thread)
"yupan answer a splicing legacy discover" with a bit of phoenetic mashing becomes something likeOn Wired.com, you’ll also find a video interview with puzzle maker Mike Selinker called “Crack the Code.” Some words appear fleetingly in the background of the video: “two-star, dancer, ring, why, herds, seek, writ, coeds, fine, duff, all, sad.” This can be repronounced as “To start answering Wired’s secret codes, find a false ad."
"You can ask where a spry sing leg and see this cover"
Which is, of course, nonsense. But maybe I'm just doing it wrong?
browsing trhough the trials secrets wiki I found that someone named 'Jetbeard' posted a link to what the doted line with number represents. Its a perfect match and relates to the Rhombicuboctahedron, one of the shapes drawn in the Devinaa Proportione. Read all about it here.
And 'Jetbeard', whoever you are, thanks for this info!![]()
