Hey Oski and Joeregular (and all others ),

I found a very good article posted in the new york times on the subject. Its more of an essay: very enjoyable and easy to read. Includes a few interesting crossreferences aswell !

    Re: Easter Eggs

The way I see it High Def, you have three options (probably more, but I'm dumb, and couldn't think of any others).

Option 1: Get involved and help us solve the riddle in order to possibly speed up the process. This is a mutually beneficial choice because for one, it would be helpful to those that are already involved, and two, you would no longer be annoyed by new Egg posts and might possibly gain a sense of accomplishment at each new baby step that we, as a community might make. (this is the one I think you should go with, btw).

Option 2: If you see that there are new posts to the Easter Egg thread, ignore them so you don't get upset. I understand that by ignoring all future Egg posts you may miss out on the actual solution once it is posted, but if you want, I can PM you when that happens, that way, you won't be missing out.

Option 3: Complain and offer destructive criticism that is neither warranted nor appreciated (by me anyway).

I hope you choose Option 1.

Thanks High Def, always appreciate your comments. Didn't realise that I was causing you concern.

I will be sure to hurry up now that you have pointed this out. Cheers,

    Re: Easter Eggs

All of us participating in this thread are learning as we go Def. The way I see it this is somewhere we can all throw our ideas out and maybe someone gets inspired and cracks the whole thing.

Nice link Kobe. I understand the basic concept, I'm trying to see how to even start decoding anything that might be hidden in there.

The Craig Ventner early version code sounds a likely suspect as mentioned earlier. I'm not sure I even want to try and wrap my head around this one though

None of us know thats why we are discussing it. Most people just watch from the sidelines without commenting. If you can't actively contribute, then I suggest you do the same. Trust me, when this is solved, we will make the biggest post on the main forum you have ever seen.

    Re: Easter Eggs

i havent really said anything on the big riddle but i, and hopefully a few others, have nonetheless put some thought into it. even got into some deep reading (which is unusual for me) into charles darwin and his 'natural selection' work.

anyway, like i said i havent posted before mainly because ive had nothing yet of great meaning to say, not that it stopped high deff from posting

but just to let you know that its not just you lot working on this, there are lurkers aswell
