Is it possible to not only turn on lights, but turn them off as well. The same light, repeatedly. It seems that this is being done in the new dlc levels. Good example being the end of prison break, the red light flashing.
the new force rotation tool has many cool uses, one of these is creating a kind of windmill object that spins and passes through two triggers.
One trigger that turns on light, the other with the checkbox for light turned off. Going to be interesting to see what people come up with![]()
So I'm assuming the problem I had before was that I used the same trigger, attempting to turn on and off things.. whereas I guess I had to use 2? And could repeated use them once the other trigger switched it on and off?
I'll try it out now. =)
I'm thinking that if you constructed an object with the new powered rotation, you could have the object pass through a pair of triggers to turn lights on/off in a systematic way.
Yep, it worked. Thanks a lot!
I'm also having trouble with something pretty basic. I can't seem to trigger any of the moving cars that i made in the past. Not the new car. But I would built a 4 wheel car but could never get it to move when i wanted. Since you're already here and seem to know things haha
Simplest way is to construct the car and glue the parts together as normal. Select the whole car and turn the physics off and on again so that all parts have physics enabled.
Now select ONE part of the car (hold LB) and disable physics on that piece alone.
Create a trigger and have that enable the physics of the part that you just disabled and when you pass through the trigger the object should move.
Thank you! it worked. I dont know why I haven't tried this. The problem i had before was that the piece i turned physics off would normally just fall off for some reason. Oh well, thank you!Originally Posted by EuphoricFusion
