    Trebuchet

    Hi,

does anyone here has ever tried to build a trebuchet ?
Is there any exemple anywhere ?
    I've found that :

It's very simple but it wouldn't work...

The rider is going up, but he would not be launched.

    Re: Trebuchet

I tried to do one once, I love trebuchets, but I wasn't experienced enough with the editor and after roughly 3 hours of work I did something that screwed it up and I could not figure why so I scrapped it

    Thanks for your answers

I've seen something crazy with trebuchet :
If the counterweight is under, there's no power, but if it is above, there's power.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong, or maybe my rider eats to much burrito's, but he seams to weigh as much as a container
    It's crazy !

    Re: Trebuchet

start with along arm to which u add a weight at one end and the platform u ride on at the other. the important thing ive found is to glue a free rotation hinge to the middle of the long arm if its not in the middle it massively effects how much weight u need on the heavy end. i used a big metal ball(inside) then glued some dlc weights to it(all locked to d/l to keep it stable).as long as the weight on the heavy end is more than the combined weight of the rider and the platform they are on it will sling u up

    Re: Trebuchet

You can build trebuchets with insane amounts of power if the proper techniques are used, otherwise when you're working with that much force, glue tends to almost fall apart. In the pre-DLC times I used rocks whose size was much more economical than containers.

When I made a trebuchet, I made the arm from the very long logs found under the "structures" categeory. When I glued them together I overlapped them with the joints never lining up. Overall the length of the arm was around 2 containers long. For the counterweight I used 6 rocks glued together then glued to a hinge. Also a key feature I had was using a small pole placed under the pivot point the arm centers around, because with that much force the hinge couldn't handle it.

    Re: Trebuchet

i didnt make a treuchet but i did make a rocket powered catapault

its basically a board with 4 turbines under it and 1 free rotation and 2 limited rotation hinges one one side (for stability) as soon as tthe rider rides onto it the turbines fire i wasnt expecting much distance out of it but wow it shot him up about 4 blocks high and about 10 across and he could land without crashing

but i like your idea to build a trebuchet i might mount it on wheels and have it drive along then when it reaches a set point launch the rider

    Re: Trebuchet

Hello, This message is to any of the developers. I was just wondering if it would be possible for you to give instructions on how to Build a working Trebuchet. Me and my friend have been trying for a week to figure out how to get one that works, but all we get is just some glitched out looking mess. So I beg your pitty and wish you to help us resolve this matter. PLEASE!!!
