Hi!
I have purchased Trials HD on a GamerTag i dont use anymore, and even though i have transfered it to my new console, i want to purchase the upcoming Big Pack DLC on my new GamerTag (that has avaliable MSPoints).
Could that present any problem??
I mean, i will be using a full game purchased with one Gamertag, and a add-on purchased with another. Is that even possible??
thanks for any help.
I'm not sure that will work.......everything downloaded is associated with your GT and console. Youll have to be signed on both GTs I think...
Did you make a completely NEW GT or just changed the name?? cause then it would be fine.
Assuming your new console is not a replacement for a broken one then you would need to use the Licence Migration Tool available Here to transfer the licences for any downloaded content to the new xbox.
thanks for your answers, friends.
actually, its a completely different gamertag. its my local profile that i decided to turn into a live profile.
i have already transfered the Trials HD license to the new console, so all GT can access it.
but my concern is that i will purchase the pack on a different GT than the game was purchased. im not sure if that will present any "technical" and licensewise problem.
It shouldn't cause any problems. Any GT on the console should be able to access all gaming content that has been DL'ed from marketplace. I have not had any problems with this in the past. (Gaming content doesn't include game related avatar items, etc.)
I have an idea.....why not purchase the DLC with the other GT and then keep it on that console. Problem solved!
Then that GT would have to be signed it when playing.Originally Posted by lespritdelescalier
I don't think so. On the console which the license is associated with, every GT can play the the game, not just the GT that bought it.Originally Posted by Jarr3tt88
Straight answer - you will have no problems playing it if bought with another account.
