Crash on Startup (Win 7 + SB Audigy) [SOLVED]
Bought the game through steam a while back, just reinstalled the other day. The game works every now and then, but most of the time after i hit start, it loads part of the way then the screen goes white and i get the error trials2.exe encountered an error. Not sure exactly what the problem is and any help would be appreciated.
It ran fine on this computer when i first purchased it a while ago.

Re: Crash on Startup. trials2.exe error
Sorry for the delay.
This is a completely new error (at least to me) and there is no known solution. You can however try these things:
Run the game
- with lower graphics
- without sounds
- in compatibility mode
And upgrade/downgrade your graphics and sound card drivers.
Also, some hardware and software information might be useful, such as graphics card, sound card and operating system.

Re: Crash on Startup. trials2.exe error
having similar problem here, game crashes before getting to the loading screen.
although, when sounds are disabled, the game runs fine. i guess the problem is related to my audio card which is Sound Blaster Audigy SE. Not really sure about the driver version, my Windows 7 (64-bit) installed the drivers automatically.
i'll try another drivers and I'll let you know if it helped.

Re: Crash on Startup. trials2.exe error
Audigy is known to have really bad 64-bit Vista & Win7 OpenAL drivers. If you search internet, you will find many reports of people having blue screens and computer freezes in games using OpenAL in 64 bit OSs. There are user modified drivers available that should fix the issue, but as always use modified drivers on your own risk.

Re: Crash on Startup. trials2.exe error
I bought the game from Steam yesterday. I had no problems with it yesterday, but when I today tried to play it, it crashed after third dot of the loading screen. I changed the sound settings to software, and tried again. It worked. However, when i tried launching the game second time today, it crashed again on the third dot. I tried to change every setting i could, it didnt work. I had to launch the game like twenty times, after it randomly launched properly.
This shouldnt be becouse of low specs, because my computer is pretty high end.
Sorry for my bad english

Re: Crash on Startup. trials2.exe error
Sorry for my English, I'm French, I have had this problem because I just change my soundcard by an AUDIGY SE and the problem is that this card deals, either 16-bit or 24bits. So if you set the card on 24bits (which is normal) set fail because it works with 16-bit sound. Reassembling the information to the creator of the game but they have no patch or solution to offer. The only way that I found is to change the sound card settings whenever one wants to play the game (in 16-bit) and call after (into 24bits) to play the other games, listen to music or watch movies. If someone can find a solution by changing a system file, it would be super because it is not really enjoyable to do this manip each time. Please help us, has more.

Re: Crash on Startup. trials2.exe error
Nobody can solve this problem, otherwise give me source files so that I can watch if I can do some things because I can no longer play at all (if I can play without sound) therefore is void and I all looked at my level but nothing works. Help me is it you like.
