There will be more objects for the track builder in the DLC, GREAT <3 I love making maps!
But one small question I thought of, probably easy to answer, but I just wanted to get a confirmation; what about those who haven't downloaded the Big Pack? Will they still be able to play my custom tracks with the new objects? Since they haven't downloaded any parts (part of the download, right?)
Or will the objects be downloaded in the patch, but only become available to use in the editor if you have the DLC?
Thanks, Robiin!
I believe the devs answered this. They won't be able to play the tracks with the DLC if they don't have it. If they wanna play your tracks then they gotta buy sucks for them lol Why not buy the DLC!?
that would be sneakyOriginally Posted by Robiin777but I don't think they can do that. I doubt you could play someones tracks with the new objects if you dont have them. And that would be another reason why you should buy it. In my mind if you DONT get the ridiculously cheap DLC....you are nuts.
TOTALLY NUTS. People should be locked away if they don't purchase it.Originally Posted by billymagnum
While I totally agree, some of my friends who have Trials probably won't buy it, which makes my tracks not being able to reach out to the people I wanna.Originally Posted by supertom
But, WHO CARES? CAN'T WAIT FOR NEW PARTS!!!
All the new DLC objects are part of the DLC pack download. When you buy and download the DLC pack, all the new objects appear in your level editor. If you dont want to buy it, you can still create tracks with the old objects just like before and share your tracks to everyone.Originally Posted by Robiin777
If you have bought the DLC back, and include the new DLC objects in your own custom tracks, then other players also need the DLC to play those tracks. You can naturally still make tracks without DLC objects for your friends that haven't bought the DLC yet.
Will I have to just remember which objects came from the original set if I intend to create a track to share with non-DLC users?
No, the DLC pack creates four completely new object categories (marked with a DLC icon in the editor object selector). All DLC objects are in these categories.Originally Posted by nannerdw
Well they could do it like the fable DLC... Have one for 400 MS points, and one for free... and the free one just contains the editor objects needed to play custom tracks, but they wouldn't be accessible in the editor.
I don't think they should do that though, because 400 points is a pretty reasonable price for ANY DLC, but for this, they're practically handing it to you.
400 MSP comes out to about $5.71 CAD, $5.00 USD, and $4.76 EUR. Really, anybody with a minimum wage job can work for one hour and they've paid off their DLC and still have a dollar or two left over. Heck, most kids with allowances earn about $5 a week. The fact that we're getting an expansion almost doubling game content and value for only $5.00 is pretty awesome and very cheapOriginally Posted by Rocker23664![]()
