It's not a glitch. It's a shortcut in the track. And it requires lots of skill to do. There are almost impossible (both designed and accidental) shortcuts in other tracks as well. However so far we are not aware of any other shortcut that skips as much distance as the Underground shortcut.

i was thinking how a thread was started that ended up with a new shortcut (underground) being found...

after reading sebbi's comment about other unfound shortcuts i went through all the tracks looking for possible shortcuts. just wanted bounce some of the ideas off you guys and maybe we'll get some subtle hints from the devs again if we get warm...

here are some impossible seeming shortcuts i see:

Rock'n'Drop: near the end of the level (second to last checkpoint) going over the signs instead of down... to see what i'm talking about eject off the rock over the wall, rocks and sign and you'll sail over the finnishline... i tried to get over that sign a bit... very hard but seems possible. doing it first try after going through the level makes it very unlikely...

Inferno II: going through the wood with tnt on it, skipping the tires compleatly and magicly landing on the pallets... um... not gonna happen but "possible"

King of the Hill: skipping the fifth checkpoint... so... getting enough speed on the uphill part to sky over the boxes and stuff in the way of getting up there.

Trials/Tribulations: technically there is a space above the areas that go down and backwards... getting over that will probably never happen... but thought it fit in the category of "impossible shortcuts"

Brown Boxes: pretty short shortcut (if any but hopping the tnt box after the third checkpoint... probably possible but not necessarily faster...

Thats all i got... let me know if you guys know of any of these ever happening...

Let's Get Physical - On the bit where you go down the ramp on the 'cart', it's possible to jump the cart and just miss your head on the ledge and land at the bottom without ever taking the 'cart'
Ive made it once or twice but its quite difficult to regain control afterwards after the rush you get

Inferno II: going through the wood with tnt on it, skipping the tires compleatly and magicly landing on the pallets... um... not gonna happen but "possible"

I've seen someone go through the wood with the TNT and have managed to do it myself, but it's way slower. There's so much momentum to keep going that you might as well just jump over it and ride backwards. It won't get you right to the bottom though, as you'll still have to hit the tires. You can skip the third tire (and the checkpoint on the pipe just after the fire at the bottom) by bouncing from the second tire over the explosives to the pallets, which cuts a lot of time, and achieves a similar effect.

I've been on the lookout for shortcuts too. I'll post if I have more ideas.

That's actually pretty easy now that you've pointed it out; all you need to do is kind of bump or catch your back wheel on the side of the ledge when you land and you'll slow down very quickly.

As for the other posted shortcuts, the only ones that sound possible are the one for Inferno II and the one for Rock and Drop. The one on Inferno, however, would most likely be impossible to land and it might slow you down if you do manage it due to the loss of momentum, like lespritdelscalier said. The one on Rock and Drop seems possible but very, very hard to pull off. The rocks are set up so perfectly that you can't pop off of them to get enough height :/

i found one at the end of a med or easy track that has the last jump and ends with you getting impaled with the pipe, if anyone can remember which track this is let me know and ill explain.

im not at home or i would find it. it has a large jump at the end. that drops down, not mother of all jumps.

I tried this yesterday about 400 times. I don't think you can get it however I did try both forward launch off the rock and also tried a front flip to get the back wheel over the sign. I was able to get either the front or back wheel to the top of the sign but that was all. I think that if there was a greater distance between the rock and the sign, it may increase the chanse of getting this as you could flip around better. I see the issue being this.

This jump is essentially the same as the bunnyhop challenge. The only difference here is that you have to jump first and your momentum is going downward prior to touching the jump. From a standing start, that jump is possible but not at the end of a jump. More than happy for someone to prove me wrong but does seem impossible. Nice suggestion however as I thought it was possible also.

i think i might have found a possible short cut on BASIC BUMPS at the end where u go under the big platform i dont know if mabye you can backwheel hop to it or not its just a thought. although i havent made it yet it seems like a more skilled rider might be able to make it. im not the best at the backwheel hop at high speeds

Getting on top of the pipes in Rise & Fall might be possible. That way it could be possible to skip the middle part of the track.

you know the bit right after the 2 slanted pallets in Inferno II? you jump off the bigger pallet onto the big log and then bounce of that onto to the girders. is it possible to jump from the log right up to the pipes obstacle?

i've made some massive bounces off that log and thought i was gonna get straight to the pipes but just fell short. then the momentum normally takes me to the bottom if the girders.
