So do any of the Devs have solutions to this? My brother's 360 got the RROD and he had to get a new system, now his Trials doesn't work.

If anyone else is having problems with their licenses, when copying their profile and games from a console to console. Check this Microsoft page to transfer your license:

Man your profile is messed up you HAVE to call M$ and dont just give up when they say that. They are trying to clear the phone lines. Always ask for a manager or supervisor and be very angry but not rude and you may make off with some free points. BE PATIENT. Theres 1000's of people calling all day everyday. If you really want this fixed you have to hold on

Re: I wish i never bought this game.

People just dont understand how Live DLC and arcade games work. I will lay it all out for you.

Profile A = account that bought Trials
Profile B = account that never bought Trials

    1. When something is ORIGINALLY purchased, it can be used on THAT 360 on any account at any time.

    2. If you were to go to a friends house and bring your profile with you, you would have to redownload the game with THE PROFILE THAT BOUGHT IT but it would only allow you to play the full version if THAT account is signed in. (Profile B can play IF profile A is signed in on another controller).

    3. How I think you can fix your problem.
Step 1 - Go to dashboard
Step 2 - Go to the memory section
Step 3 - Select your Hard Drive and press Y
Step 4 - Delete Trials HD off Hard Drive
Step 5 - Press (X or Y... I cant remember) to "Perform Maintenance"
Step 6 - Redownload Trials HD

Re: I wish i never bought this game.

The "Initializing gamer profile settings failed" message comes when the game fails to write information to your gamer profile, more accurately when it for the first time tries to reserve space for the needed profile settings. Generally games can use 3kb of this type of profile storage which is stored in the same storage device your profile is located. I only know two cases where this message should come: the storage device is totally full or that you happen to pull the MU with the profile out when the game is trying to write there. I personally have not encountered this kind of behaviour in any other cases and I don't know a solution for it.

Game license should only affect whether the game appears as trial or full version, but it should not affect any profile write rights. My guess is that you have some kind of profile corruption which prevents new writes to it. Has any other new game you have bought been able to write stuff to your profile?

yeah the license tranfer is a must do if/when you get your replacement console, otherwhile it will always show you have only the trial games when your offline. and it dont always save things that you do...it almost sounds like he needs to do a license transfer, and redownload the stuff...

you dont really have to redownload everything, jus go threw the process of downloading it like you didnt have it, so dont delete your current copy, jus download it right over what you have...

...but in this case, for trials, i would jus delete trials and redownload it after the license transfer

or perhaps there's something in your parental control that you have set up, and it's not letting you do what you want

if all else fails man, jarrette is right, call microsoft, you dont have to wait that long lol sending emails is like pulling teeth, your better off calling
