Hi folks,
I have a question about Trials HD.
I loved Trials 2 SE so I must get my hands on THD.
There is only one problem; I really hate consoles.
Those stupid gamepads etc, I just need a keyboard and mouse to control my games.
Now Trials is out on console it makes a slight difference, I just want to play the game but still without a gamepad.
So my question is; Will Trials HD work with a mouse and keyboard for the xbox360?
I mean there are those converts you can plug in your xbox for keyboard and mouse. (google; xbox360 mouse keyboard)
Will I be able to drive with my keyboard (and maybe change controls?) and will I be able to use it within the track-editor?
I'm not quite sure THD supports this.
If it supports it all I will buy a '360' right away, if not i'll just be that console hater![]()
Thanks,
Dutchy
I started with Trials 2 SE as well, and came to really like the keyboard controller.
I was leery of the controller on the XBOX, as I didn't even own an xbox and had never tried one either.
But....after a week of playing THD, I realized the analog controls were far better than the digital controls of a keyboard, and I seriously doubt I could play THD with keyboard/digital controls.
Give it a try, you might be surprised!
Well ofcourse I will try it.
But I just want to have some insurrance that when I don't like it I can fall back at my own trustfull keyboard
But wouldn't the track editor be easier to handle with the mouse?
but arent those mouse/keyboard adapters like $100? The ones that actually work anyway. Just get used to the controller
uh yeah.... http://www.xcm.cc/XFPS__3.0_Sniper_Plus.htm
thats why i asked if you understood they are not cheap...
you can play with the arrow keys on the game pad and throttle with A and brake with X.
Xbox 360 does not have official mouse drivers, so connecting USB mouse directly to it doesn't do anything. The mouse adapters are designed for first person shooters only. The adapter does not make the mouse act like a real mouse, it just gives the game analog stick input to turn left/right/up/down when you move your mouse to that direction. You can try a mouse adapter with the level editor, but I doubt the precision is good enough to use it properly.
Arguably the best controller ever built. You won't look back.
Does anyone actually do that?Originally Posted by LoveRPG

Absolutely! There was a whole thread about who uses what buttons. <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="http://www.redlynxgame.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=2254&hilit=digital+analog">vi ewtopic.php?f=28&t=2254&hilit=digital+analog</a><!-- l -->Originally Posted by gioboom
