Way of checking 'roughly' how much memory you have left

    hi,

recently discovered this and i have read alot in this particular subject and not seen anyone else mention it but you can see how many kb/bytes you have left before you hit that 8kb limit simply by going to your dashboard, choose system settings, memory, (look for trials HD from your list of games), and it will list all of your tracks plus the size. If it is showing as 80kb then thats the limit, if its 72kb then you have 800 bytes to play around with. Obviously newer track makers reading this will be like what the hell, i have no idea how much each object is worth in size, neither do i lol.... just a rough idea that if i place a light over a shipping container the light will be worth more.

hope this observation is of some use =D

Yea I think it would be awesome if they told us the object size so we know what we can place more of! I noticed this the other day when I deleted some things and I could add a few extra objects, meaning its not 1000 object limit, its size of objects placed.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that the actually objects are stored in the game rather than the track file. When you are making tracks, its saving things like x-y-z cordinates, rotation angle, and object properties which isn't much data at all. If any, there shouldn't be much of a difference between the file size of each object.

Yes all objects consume exactly the same space in the file, except lights/cameras/triggers (some extra bits are saved for parameters).
