change trial 2 serial key [SOLVED] | Forums

Hi, my friend installed trials 2 on my computer to show it to me, but he put his serial number to show me all levels / features. But now I bought my own serial number and I can't enter it, even if I uninstall/reinstall trials 2.

p.s. I'm used to work with register. I looked for the old serial in the register, but obviously it's not there.
What can I do ( without formating my pc please )?

Try uninstalling it, delete all registry keys then re-install it.

sebbbi[/COLOR];0]Use the support form at http://www.redlynxtrials.com main page. Send support your licence key, and e-mail address and name you gave when you registered the game. Support can disable your current activations so you can activate the game full 3 times again.

I would check this out before tinkering around in your registry DANGER DANGER Theres no way you should have to reformat because of an issue like this. If you can't system restore to before it was installed by your freind do as sebbbi said and contact support at that link.

You could try deleting your license.dat file, which can be found under C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Redlynx\Trials 2 SE\1.0 in Win XP. If you have Vista, you could try to use the search function or find it yourself. Should be somewhere under C:\users\
After deleting the license file the game should ask for a license key.

Directory path that works on Vista, Win7 and XP:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Redlynx\Trials 2 SE\1.0

In that directory delete the license.dat, and the game will ask you the license key again when you start it the next time.

Tank you very much. I Wrote '%LOCALAPPDATA%\Redlynx\Trials 2 SE\1.0' in the execute window then I deleted license.dat and I was able to re-enter my own serial number. Thank you again.

Gotta go now, I have to play trials 2
