IMPORTANT. Since the patch we can now have 600 tracks instead of 300 HOWEVER, do NOT go over 300, I can't say an exact number but I tried to put more and it totally screws up the game, it lags like hell so go over 300 at your own risk.
I have finally figured out a way to have an unlimited amount of custom tracks on one storage unit, here's the how.
EDITED and UPDATED
Let's say you only one storage device (Memcard or HDD, no difference)
Let's assume you have 100 tracks on your HDD, with your USUAL PROFILE loaded.
1- Go to the XBOX Dashboard --> System Settings --> Memory
2- SIGN OUT and load (or create) a profile that will hold your stored tracks (you HAVE to do this with Controller 1 so that the Gamer Picture in the upper right corner corresponds with the desired profile.)
3- Move your tracks from the HDD to the HDD (or memcard to memcard), that is all. The tracks will change ownership. Change profiles in-game to change the track selection.
KNOWN FLAWS OR BUGS WITH THIS METHOD
301 tracks is the MAXIMUM amount of tracks the game can load at once (no matter on what storage device they are), if you have more than 301 tracks one one profile, the rest won't load in-game.
You CAN put up to 301 tracks on your USUAL PROFILE but I suggest you DON'T: you can only DL tracks from your friends and only your usual profile has your friends on it, and you will have to delete/move 200 tracks just to download one! So load your alternate profile with tracks but keep your usual profile under 100 unless you have more storage options ( I have nearly 300 tracks on my usual profile on a memory card but I keep my HDD clean for downloading new tracks)
There is a bug with the game, for the custom tracks to load at all, you must first load a profile that has been connected to live, not an ofline profile. So if tracks don't load, sign out, load with a profile that has a LIVE account (you don't need to be online when you do) and sign in again with the profile you want to load tracks from. You'll have to repeat this step every time you switch from an unLIVE to an unLIVE account. The devs are aware of this and I was told the update will fix this.
You will have to unlock the bikes with the other profiles you create...
You might want to write them down somewhere to keep track of what's where because it can get messy if you get lots of tracks... I sort tracks by map creator, I only have to write down which creators are on which profile.

Hope it helps. I have 850 tracks scattered over 4 profiles, all on one memory card. It's great to bring all my tracks when I go see a friend that has a XBOX![]()
After more testing, I have fond flaws with this method:
If I load the game with any profile but my own, it won't load any tracks. You have to switch to your original profile for it to work.
You can load tracks from a second proile only ONCE, once you do it, you won't be able to load another profile's tracks (they won't refresh) unless you restart the game.
EDIT: After more testing, you can't load other tracks from one OFFLINE profile to another, after you have loaded tracks from an OFFLINE profile, you HAVE to use a LIVE profile to load any tracks at all, and then you can switch again from a LIVE profile to an offline one. Hope there is a fix for this.
It is still working well though, better than buying those ridiculously pricey memory cards...
Yes, there is a known bug that offline only profile doesn't iterate the user created tracks (unless online profile was used previously). One workaround is to pull out/plug in a MU which will corrent the situation. This issue will be fixed in a patch when we get it out.
I have a question on this:
Can you by only using the hard drive, copy/move tracks from an online profile to an offline one, thus freeing up tracks on the online profile.
In other words, without going through a mem card.
Yes you can do thatOriginally Posted by Ahhme2![]()
Ok, thx, except everytime i try, it says, source and destination are the same, and it won't do anything?
Make sure another profile than your main one is loaded, and it HAS to be loaded with the controller 1, meaning that this profile's gamer picture must appear in the My Xbox section, then you can move your files from the HDD to the HDD, they will be registered to the profile loaded after that, at least that's exactly how I do it and it works for me.Originally Posted by Ahhme2
Hey Qc, thanks for the clarification....it all worked out good!
The problem i had the first time around, last week, was that as soon as i went into the "play custom tracks" is there were no tracks showing, i forgot about the little glitch, have to exit and restart game.
So i'm a happy camper now!
If I understand correctly tho, I'll be limited to 301 tracks on my hard drive regardless of profile?
No, the game can load 301 tracks at a time, so if your tracks are on another profile, they don't load at the same time so you don't really have a limitOriginally Posted by Ahhme2There is NO limit to my knowledge, I have 850 tracks on the same memory card.
and all 850 load!?Originally Posted by QcChopper![]()
