You shouldn't be too surprised by that seeing as how you put the $ in M$, but yeah, that sounds like something they would do. Microsoft has a way with nickle and diming people that's for sure.

Um no. You are wrong. You can still use a memory card as long as it is made by MS. The only thing this would even effect is the possibility of the global sharing workaround.. and judging by this:

If you continue to use an unauthorized Memory Unit after the update, you will not be able to access your stored profile or saved games.
The workaround may still work as you are moving saved track files and not moving anything to do with your profile or saved game file.

In short, you can still use an official MS memory card to save more then 100 tracks.

Um no you missed the point. Duh, of course you can use M$ cards. This is directed at people who use 3rd party cards that you can save WAY more on than an M$ card, like QcChopper. Or those who have considered buying them so they dont waste their money. It has nothing to do with global sharing only saving levels.

ARRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH I just gotta let it rip...
Micro$oft are a !@#$%^& bunch of lowlife scumbag A-holes, Please, Bill Gates, just die a horrible death...

I am tempted to borrow a camera, film myself while I put a 16lbs sledgehammer through my console and accessories, post a video and make it viral, and send all the pieces to Micro$oft along with a letter telling them to go !@#$ themselves.

I hope Datel start a class action suit against those !@#$ers, I would jump in immediately. It seems like an illegal monopoly to me, what a bunch of crooked bastards

    Crimosoft is well... Crimosoft.

Everyone should switch to Ubuntu (or any other Linux flavor), and feel safer on the web than ever before. This will also save yourself a few $s too. Money has always been the main motivator behind this company. Even when the Homebrew Computer Club was going Crimosoft has tried to take the power away from the people.

The only reason I bought an Xbox was to stay connected and play games with people from my home country that have them. THD coming on it makes it more worth the money though...

It seems after a flood of hate hit Major Nelson's blog, Major posted: "Not sure if this will get read by many, but I have echoed some of the concerns posted here w/ the accessories team." I would recommend posting hate/disapproval in his blog and maybe we can shoot this garbage down before it gets going...

Re: Level Saving. WE ARE NOW SCREWED!!!

    From G4TV.com:
    Why Microsoft's Disabling

As part of the next Xbox 360 dashboard update, Xbox 360s will no longer recognize "unauthorized Xbox 360 storage devices." If, for example, you purchased Datel's 2GB Max Memory Card (still available at Amazon.com and can expand up to 16GB due to a replaceable Micro SD card slot) to store data, it will no longer work. Such accessories are not officially licensed by Microsoft and while they've been usable in the past, as of now, Microsoft is eliminating that option.

Xbox evangelist Major Nelson announced the change late last week on his blog. The response from the Xbox community was mixed (the first comment on Nelson's post: "Maybe if Microsoft released larger storage options at prices that weren't completely ridiculous then customers may not seek alternatives"), though many did not even seem aware these options were available to them.

The change in policy is because of cheating, according to a Microsoft spokesperson I talked to.

"cheating...is the primary purpose and use of these unauthorized memory units"

"Microsoft goes to great lengths to protect the Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE service from cheating, which is the primary purpose and use of these unauthorized MUs [memory units]," said the spokesperson. "Unauthorized MUs are not tested for compatibility or certified for safety and compliance standards and thus could damage customer’s Xbox 360 consoles."

That's a freaking heap of bullcrap... People can still transfer their files on a PC to cheat with a transfer cable, but when people buy transfer cables, Crimo$oft loses no money... What a bunch of hypocrites.
