Rumor is that Microsoft is working on a recording feature that would allow you to capture video from games on your Xbox 360. I guess this would solve the personal replay problem. For any game! More here and here

Well, that would put the extra gigabytes on my HDD to very good use. I really hope they implement this.

It's not an online feature... I don't think you'd need an online profile at all to use the recording feature.

Wait...did you just confirm this is real?!

...but thinking about it, MS may want it to only be a Gold member feature like they do with almost everything especially the updates on the way (Last FM, Twitter, Facebook, and Zune Marketplace) which would likely make more people buy a Gold subscription = more $ for MS. That would only make Silver members mad.

I just meant that I don't see a reason why you should even need to have a network connection or online profile to use a personal hard drive video recording feature.

These are all online features that require a network connection and a online profile.

looks like everyone feels the same according to the poll!

i've only got an original 20gb drive anyway. and i'm pretty tight with money, so i don't see me forking out for a bigger HDD anytime soon
