I like the subscription idea - it would make THD.net my first stop for new tracks by the creators I like rather than the redlynx boards. Then I know I can spend a bunch of time on that track to post my timeOriginally Posted by GameScrub
Scrub, I also have an idea about how to incorporate this without sending emails. Why not have a custom homepage for every person, and their subscriptions show up when they log in. (Like youtube) You could set it up so people could remove certain tracks from their subscriptions section, or even have them expire after a week or so (just show the new tracks of the creators you have subscribed to for the current week).
An additional idea is to have a "To Do" list. Each rider can make a list of tracks they are currently working on or want to work on. The list would be public, and could automatically incorporate the tracks from their subscribe list if the rider so chose. I think that this is probably a decent sized project, so nothing serious, just some ideas being thrown around.
An idea to muse on perhaps GameScrub.
The weeks most played and highest ranked top 5's are very good indeed but I think quantity should get recognition too with maybe room for a top 10 (or 5) largest number of tracks ranking for the trackmakers on TrialsHD.net ?
I've no idea if technical restrictions make it impossible but it would be an interesting and informative feature.
For example it would have to be a pretty high number that would make it to the number 1 spot.
I'm constantly amazed by the sheer number of tracks some of the creators make and it would perhaps reward some of the most prolific trackmakers to get a namecheck and ranking.
Sounds like a fairly good idea.. I am just weary of people cranking out quick tracks with a few ramps just to be at the top... I dont know, maybe I am over thinking it.
@les
you have a good thing going on with that idea, problem still lies with users needing to go to the site and login. It might move more traffic but who knows.
@Golem
I can't due that because quantity != quality. Some people can make tons of tracks to get on top of the list without putting any effort or have anyone play his track. Not sure why they wanna do that but it could happen.
With that said I know Mati has tons of tracks on my site. But I played seven of them the other day and they where tons of fun. If you guys haven't tried out his tracks you should!
Scrubbles - why does my global leaderboard on thd.net not work?
I'm not Scrub but anyway, it's beacuse all of ur tracks haven't been played.Originally Posted by lespritdelescalier

Oh and Scrub, I have an AWESOME idea for the site. How about clicking on someone's name, and the page brings up a list of the user's tracks, and next to each track, it tells you when you last updated your score, or if you haven't recorded a time? it's tough for me to remember which tracks I've submitted times for because I'm at 1000+ tracks now..
If you click on 'my portal' it shows all the tracks you submitted a time for. Unless I'm misunderstanding? xDOriginally Posted by lespritdelescalier
Jar, I want to click on someone's name - for instance, you. Say I click on your name, and where it lists your tracks, I can see which ones I have already put in times for. This lets me quickly either choose which track of yours to play, or enter the score for the tracks that I am missing (as I often play a bunch of tracks, and then enter scores in bulk). I don't want to waste time clicking on the track to see if I have entered the score for it already.Originally Posted by Jarr3tt88
I could use the "My Portal", but since I have registered over 200 scores, it's not very friendly to search through the list every time I want to see if I have entered a time on a certain track.
Still waiting for this scrub - also i've started to see more of the 500 fault 30:59.999 times being posted FYIOriginally Posted by GameScrub
