Love the game but this one particular aspect is really frustrating. Most of the difficulty for me stems from stopping the back wheel jumping off the surface (landing on inclines usually) and the bike rotating rapidly forward losing all traction.

You can see how odd this effect is if you roll back off an edge holding forward, the back wheel doesn't hardly drop as the bike falls off the edge. Was this put in to counter rotating backwards under power or maybe to facilitate some of the stunts?

I had a problem on inclines with the back wheel too.. to solve that I rock myself so i'm leaning forward but land on my back wheel first. If you get it down right, you can really fly over the inclines without many problems at all.

you just have to find the right technique. I do that all the time still but I understand how to control it more and more as it happens

I get what you mean, but I find it does get a lot easier to control.
Just checking, are you talking about Trials 2 or Trials HD?
I find it a lot worse in T2, tho after practice on this one, I hardly notice it on THD.
