    Massive oversight in Tournaments

Just found out that your individual track times earned in tournaments do not count towards your record for that track. This is a major oversight, what if you have the run of a lifetime on a specific track in tournament mode? This needs to be fixed ASAP.

Oops, I wasn't logged in. Yeah, this is a big deal. Please fix this ASAP.

Yeah, I was a little disappointed when noticing this for the first time too.

The game logic in tournament works differently than in single track mode. When you push B to restart to the last checkpoint, if you are not yet reached the first checkpoint, your faults are reset to zero in single race mode, but in tournament mode your fault counter remains.

Also it would be confusing to occasionally show the player single track medals and single track leaderboards while he is trying to compete in the tournament leaderboard and earn tournament medals. With completely different tournament logic and tournament continue screen layout this could possibly be made, but we didn't want to show multiple screens of statistics and leaderboards between each track in the tournament.

Yeah this is unfortunate.. I can't count how many times I've set faster times for a certain track during a tournament only for it to not even matter.

All you need to show is "You set a new record for this track...", or something like that. The most important thing is that your fastest run on a track is also your record for that track. Just updating your track records and not even showing a single message about it is better than what we have today.

This would be fine, just perform a check against the record for a given track and update the score if a better fault/time score is achieved. I guess the replay might be an issue though...

It would just be nice to be earning points for global ranking (by improving my track records) while I am trying (and failing) to improve my tournament scores.

Hey sebbi, just wanted to see if the team had thought about a way to update the track times during a Tournament. I don't really see much reason to change the game logic regarding faults. I don't think you need to worry if somebody has to reset before first checkpoint.

Even if they reset at the beginning and it counts against them, if they come out with fewer faults or a better time than they already have, then it still works out for them. Obviously if someone already has no faults on that track, it will just be an empty run (other than counting toward the tournament).

I just think this would make the game more accessible. It would also make the leaderboards more competitive.

I have been chipping away at the last 3 tournaments, and I had fallen from 17th all the way down to around 160, because my times from tournament runs weren't counting. I decided to tackle the last few skill games and to platinum Goin' Up and Inferno II, and got back down to 51st as of right now.
