My 360 just gave me the 3 red lights thingno more trials for me until I can work out how to fix it
I am in the exact same boat, trying to convince my cousin to lend me hers until mine is repaired, addictive game eh...
yep, unfortunately mines no longer under warranty so I have it in bits on my desk at the minute, see if some cooling paste can fix it?
I lucked out and was still covered with the warranty (second 360 to go that way). Good luck with your repair, I hope that it works out for you. If it doesn't, at least the elite is much more affordable these days.

Microsoft gave all the Xbox 360s extra 3 year warranty against the red rings. You might want to check your purchase date if your still under that warranty.Originally Posted by rik
