Just curious as to what some players like in tracks. So when I create tracks in the future I can bear this in mind.
EDIT: Ok, sorry folks! The votes got reset because I wanted to add in 'Atmosphere'.

I liked explosions until ppl used them way too much. so much it slowed their levels down. I have the most fun going full speed thru a level with big jumps. Levels that just flow really well no frustration to worry about just hit the gas and hold on!![]()

Ok, keep the votes coming people! Quite surprising that most people like bunny hop tracks so far.
I too am tired of explosions. One in a level might be fine, but some of these tracks load up on 'em like they were going out of style.
What I wanted to vote on was "atmosphere," but it wasn't an option.![]()
yes, that plays a big part in my likingOriginally Posted by Skysaw
I'm fine with just about anything. I think the biggest thing people are poor at resisting, including me, is putting too many flow-killers. Instead of getting the player to fault over and over, a time challenge seems like a much more professional map in the end. Nontheless I don't mind weird and crazy and completely anti-flow maps because people come up with some wild ideas we would never see otherwise.
I chose all of the above, although really, my tastes can be surmised quite simply: Quality over quantity. A track can be hopping and climbing or thrive on speed alone - but what makes a track stand out or not really comes down to polish for me. If someone spends a good amount of time testing each obstacle, testing the track, as well as the time to make the track visually interesting - you'll usually see a winning track.
Not always, but usually; and that's what it takes.
