Basic questions
Hi,
I am going to hopefully make my first track this weekend and have been reading these forums for a week or so. Could answer these questions?
What is the option called Physics? what does it do if you turn it on/off
What does the option Animation do? on/off etc...
Lock to driving line same as above.
I think i have an idea of what these do but want to be 100% sure before i start

Re: Basic questions
Physics controls whether the object is subject to physical forces. If you are building your line you DO NOT want physics on for the majority of parts. With physics off on an object it will just stay wherever you place it and it will be there permanently.
An object with physics on will move when hit or fall if not on the ground. Physics objects are used in the level "Let's Get Physical". Thinks see-saws and the like. When an object has physics enabled it will be shaded red in the editor so you can easily see what has physics on or not.
Lock to driving line will keep an object on the driving line at all times. You can make things fly to the line if they are off centre already but the main purpose it to keep physics objects on the driving line at all times.
Animation I can't figure out what it is supposed to do. I wanted to stop flames from working until triggered but that didn't work so this I can't help you with.
I hope this helps a little.
