How do you make the part where they took the metail plates to make sort of a half circle... that moves as you ride on it?
Make a circle of plates and a rotation hinge in the middle with a support, then glue every plate to their adjacent plates and to one side of the rotation hinge, then glue the other side of the rotation hinge to the support thing which will be the only object which wont have physics on.
I had that much I just cant get it to move slow and there seems to be a point where it wants to stop and not continue out of the way....
Took screenshot from editor
So hope that helps.
So this one doesnt use a hinge? I cant see one on my pc and that would explain the ever so slight movement you see from the pipe on the ingame one.... Also thank you very much that helped explain much....
Also why did yall use 2 i beams on each side just for looks or does it make it perform better somehow?
It's so it doesn't fall out.Originally Posted by KingofKings696
I made one myself before seeing that track, though mine is quite a bit larger and heavier, and needs a slight downhill slope to help it move along. (See my track "Equilibrium") Now I'm bummed that I didn't actually invent it.
Mine does not use the the axle... it is all outside plating. I built it sideways on the ground by first creating two plates about 20 feet apart, then copying them and rotating, copying the new ones, and rotating them... etc. Then I glued it all together and flipped it on its side. It's just a tad wobbly, which actually makes the trip a little more crazy-fun. I can see how gluing the plates to an axle would make them more stable.
Im sorry tanner I didnt explain what I meant better... I realize the bottom i beam had a reason to be there but the top set just seems to be there.
For atmosphere, I'd guess. It looks cooler that way.Originally Posted by KingofKings696![]()
Also had another question but didnt want to create a new topic for it.... How would I go about making swinging platforms that swing perpendicular to the racing line and will swing pretty high but not fast more that of a medium pace not so fast you cant get on but fast enough to make it a little challenge?
