Is there a way to snap pieces together?

Say I am making a section of track going down at a 45 degree angle. Is there an easy way to take another piece of track and just have it attach to the first piece at the same angle and position? If not, what are some of the ways you guys do it?

I was thinking maybe going into simple mode so at least the position is the same (auto to the driving line) but still have to get the angle correct. After making what I want, then go Advanced and move it to where I want.

    Thanks,
    HH

I don't believe there is a way to snap-connect pieces. If there is I haven't found it. What I usually do is I just copy the last piece I made and place it down and to the right however far is needed and place, rinse, repeat. It's sort of tedious, but I always disliked Auto-snapping tools, anyway.

make 4 pieces in a strait angle, glue them together, and then determin the angle and then copy the ones you have glued together, that way you can place 4 and 4 at a time. or glue 8 pieces together etc. etc

Jorma just revealed a hidden snap. hit LB and B and the object will snap to the nearest surface. That may help
