Please help me figure a couple of things out....
Having watched this great vid (wwwDOTyoutubeDOTcom/watch?v=6AVNtZbBgeg)I've been trying some experiments on the editor to help me get the hang of it and there are a couple of things I just can't seem to figure out:
1 . How on earth do you make those floor tiles zip infront of the bike and stay there? I've been trying it with the 'lock to driver line' function but it only seems to work when physics is on for the floor tiles which means that gravity makes them fall down imediately. I've tried triggering them with various settings but no luck.
2. I notice near the end of the vid there seems to be a large beam connected to a platform with rope, making a kind of trebuchet. Where is the rope in the editor? I've found that you can get the desired effect with the soft point to point but how do you make the rope visible when actually playing?
Thanks in advance for any and all help. I'm seriously loving every aspect of Trials HD and hope that it sells as well as it deserves to.

Re: Please help me figure a couple of things out....
There is a sliding tile thread in the forum that was updated recently...they might have answered the question.
If you need something for the sliding tiles to sit on you could to two rails of long metal poles.
or
As the metal plate slides out to the middle you could make it hit another trigger that switches it's physics to off. It won't fall then. I've not tried this but in theory it should work.
The trebuchet .... I didn't see any rope in the vid. I think it is two freely rotating hinges set a distance away from the bar of the trebucet. They have a certain amount of springyness. Your brain filled in the 'rope' because it behaved like a rope.

Re: Please help me figure a couple of things out....
For the sliding tiles, I tried triggering the physics off again but they still falll. As far as I can tell, once physics has been activated for an object, there's no turning it off again....unless somebody knows otherwise?
I wonder if maybe the tiles could be glued to other hidden tiles that are supported by something, I'll have to give that a go.
As for the trebuchet type thingy I think you're right, my mind was filling in the rope. Looking again at the vid, it definitely looks like it uses the soft point to point to get the rope-like physics but there's no actual rope to see.
