There's a way to propell big metal balls really high, 100+ feet! I use it in a crazy obstacle on my first track called Qc-Masokore, check it out! (if you can make it to the end, it's the last obstacle)
You have to put a metal ball somewhere free, then put a lightbulb into it, and then when you turn the big ball's physics's on it will be thrown into a direction.
The direction and velocity depends on the placement of the lightbulb. For the best results launching it hard is to place it near the center. If you want to send the ball up, the lightbulb has to be slightly below the middle of the ball. If you put it too high, the ball will be pushed down. You can also send it in other directions, but I haven't tried as much.
Tips:
To move the lightbulb once it is in the ball, you have to go through the ball, it seems obvious, but I didn't figure it out on the spot.
When trying to propel it, you have to put the lightbulb after he ball, so make sure you have put down the lightbulb before applying physics, because turning on the physics on the lightbulb instead of the metal ball has a similar effect but it's not what you want to do.
Fun fact: I discovered that by accident, I wanted to have light sources inside a big ball, and then when I activated the physics... BAM!
Awesome find, good work QcChopper. There's going to be lots of fun had with this.
If the Mayans had known about this, Indiana Jones would never have got out of that temple alive! and I wouldn't have had to watch one of the worst sequels ever committed to film.
Yes there is, I tryed it earlier and i will no doubt use it at some point.Originally Posted by TommyTank
