    Yeah just tried my own method and it was full of fail. Sorry for any time wasted on your part.

    For the time being I'm going to remove my previous post as it's not going to help anyone.

    [Edit] I have managed to use 2 triggers staggered along the riding line to get this to work but as yet it is not to my satisfaction. The first trigger enables the physics on the sliding object and then the 2nd trigger disables the physics. However, this then relies on hitting the triggers at the correct speed otherwise you end up with a very wonky track.

    I'd love to see how TeamXbox managed this as the plates that slide in their video appear to behave differently to those created with my solution.[/Edit]

    I got it to work by making the each platform slide onto 3 cameras like that hold it up like a tripod. The sliding object has to be slightly higher than the cameras so that it will come to rest on top of them.

    Ahh, very creative! I hadn't thought of that. I'd made my own version, with which I placed poles under the platforms, and just had the platforms slide on top of the poles once the physicis is triggered.
