The ball isn't that hard guys it just needs a little practice., it's not my favorite type of obstacles but I really wanted to link the 2nd and 3rd obstacles like I did with the ball. Any feedback on this?

I agree with you on this. I found it really hard to get on the ball - but eventually I nailed that 100% of the time.

Next I found it hard to stay on the ball, but with practise I nailed that (not quite 100% of the time )

Once you have that part worked out, its just a matter of working out the timing to get back on the ball at the jump. I found 2 ways to do this successfully, but I've only passed that section about 3 times ever.

It's like any puzzle really - once you know the answer, its just a matter of executing it correctly - and that comes with practise.

In my opinion, this section of track is the hardest thing I've come across in the game so far, and I have completed all tracks. Even the first jump to even get to the ball is very hard - and I still haven't worked out a foolproof way of getting to that pipe over the flames

I think your track is very well designed and extremely hard - but not unfair.

For the record - the beta version took me an hour and 20 minutes to complete, with probably close to 1000 faults. So if you got over the flames in 10 minutes you are doing pretty well - that took me about 20.

Thanks for your feedback petev. What you said is pretty much as I think myself. I didn't want the ball section to be too tough as I couldm't put a checkpoint between the 2nd and 3rd obstacles, I could have dropped another ball, but that would have broken the spirit of my puzzle IMO. I tuned it to be REALLY hard at first, but after trying it a lot it became much less hard so I decided to leave it that way. The track is relatively short anyway and I think it compensates for the difficulty.

I do think this portion with the ball hopping puzzle to be too dark in the background when the camera shows your backside but it's the best I could come up with because my room complexity was maxed out.

Oh and averybody, I will leave feedback on your tracks, I just have sooo much to try and it's a process that takes time.

Ha ha! Would love to comment on the 3rd obstacle but haven't seen it yet! It's the landing back on the ball that I'm having real difficulty with. I either flip completely over it and end up behind the ball or I crash onto it and come off the bike. I know it's all about timing so I'll nail it in the end. I must admit though, I haven't had that much practice at it, only about 2 evenings!!!

The ball obstacle took me the longest time to perfect. Its probably the most difficult part of the track.

    Here's my strategy:
-Ramp up to the ball with your rider fully leaned forward.
-Stay in the forward position while the ball picks up speed on the steel ledge (tapping the throttle is the best way to stay on the ball)
-Once you notice the ball shift its speed think this happens around the middle of the incline) lean all the way back but DON'T apply the breaks ever.
-Position yourself for the launch (try to stay at least on the middle of the ball)
-When you ride down the steep incline, wait for the ball to catch up with you.
-When its close enough, lean back while riding up the quarter pipe, then lean forward at the top of the ramp so that you can catch your back wheel on the top of the ball when it comes to you.
-Once you are on top of the ball (towards the middle) with your rider leaned forward, ride over the platform to the checkpoint.

Sorry for the long-winded explanation but this is how I pass the obstacle. This is one of my favorite tracks. Its a well designed puzzle that is fair. Too often people make extreme tracks with awkwardly positioned obstacles that are hardly possible. Keep up the good work QC.

Re: QcChopper's insane creations (1 up)

Not a new track but due to popular demand I just uploaded a toned-down version of my track MasoKore called HardKore, here's the changelog:

    - Added one small plank to the obstacle at the start where you have to bunny hop on the concrete pipe to narrow the gap a little, you still need the right technique.

    - Lowered the angle of the log that you use to get up the ball.

    - Raised the I-beams that the big ball falls on so the drop is less abrupt.

    - Added a check point after the ball ride so you just have to do it once.

    - Added a chekckpoint on the scaffold left of the next obstacle that needs to be done in two parts.

With these changes, the difficulty went down from extreme to hard IMO, hope more people enjoy this but for the hardcore player I still suggest the original, harder one.

Oh and if I removed you from my list and you want the track just add me again.

Thanks, I love your 2 technical courses too. Talking of challenging, your Technical Couse 2 is not a hard track but an extreme one !! Are you trying Maso or Hard BTW?
