Did you guys have to ask Microsoft for any like.. Tips or suggestions on how to tackle the system's hardware perks & whatnot..?
Y'know? Like to get the most out of the system.. Cus, I was reading that developer interview you did over at TeamXbox here:
http://interviews.teamxbox.com/xbox/...-Interview/p1/
And the part that really interested me was where you said this:
We are also using a modified version of an open source physics engine called Bullet Physics Library to calculate our physics simulation and collision inside the game. We have in-house optimized it for the Xbox 360 CPU and vector units. Our game engine is designed to be fully multithreaded, and we are simulating physics at the same time we are processing game logic, graphics, sound and particles in other Xbox 360 hardware threads. With extensive optimization, we have achieved a very good balance, with all six CPU hardware threads constantly working under heavy load.
Now, for me.. That was pure eye-candy!! I loved reading that..![]()
I'm just Sooo hooked on how the X360 works & everything.. soo, Could you like go more in-depth about how you actually achieved that & if Microsoft helped you with that in any way?
That's Great, Hit me back!![]()
All the development tools provided by Microsoft are very well documented and they have extensive knowledge base for us developers to look into if we bump into problems. We programmed the game completely in-house, but Microsoft gave us all the information and support needed for the process.Originally Posted by Enkeixpress
Actually, I think there's going to be another more technical interview released later on.
Nice, I'll keep a good look out for it!Originally Posted by sebbbi![]()
