I was wondering after watching a video of 'Inside the ball' and I guess it goes for other skill and race modes about the leaderboard system!
No doubt in the near future, people will get top scores on skill games like 'Inside the ball'! ( that's from what we have seen of the game and how it works ) and thought about how it will show on the leaderboard! Say if one person got the top score or distance, he/she would be rank 1. But if some then got the same top distance... same circumstances, would they become #1 or #2.
I guess am asking if its done in date order from earliest or from latest?
I guess it would be good if it was from the latest then the person who was first would have something to chase and reason to do it again rather than the first person to reach top score stays #1!
Hope that made sence, its late... yet again! I should post in the day when I'm more with it!
First of all, all the scores are calculated and recorded with three decimals. So the precision is 0.001 meters in distance based skill games. This means there are much less same scores compared to Trials 2 SE in the leaderboards. However if you get a identical score in any of the skill games, then the game compares the time you both used to reach that score. The faster player to reach the top score wins.
The skill game levels get harder and harder as you progress, and are basically impossible to pass. If someone gets to the end of a skill game level, there is always some obstacle that separates players a bit (like a big jump to a room filled with explosives).
Skill game levels? I thought there was like one level per minigame, can you give us more info on this?Originally Posted by sebbbi![]()
We can add more with DLC packs, and you can create more with the editor.Originally Posted by QcChopper
Ah ok, I think I misunderstood. So if I get it right this time, you mean that each minigame type is harder than the previous one, so to speak?Originally Posted by sebbbi
I think he means toward the end of the skill game it gets harder! Say inside the ball has a maximum of 200m, it would be near on impossible to get that distance due to some event at the end or it would be split via time difference too! Perhaps for 2 players to get exactly the same time/distance is very rare and you might have more chance winning the lottery! Lol!
Of course, I guess I was reading too quickly, I should lay off the multitasking when I read new info! For my defense, I was chatting on the Trials 2 channel so I guess it's a valid excuseOriginally Posted by KurtCobain![]()
its allways good excuse to do that!
And yep there is no top score on skills games.. they just get harder on each inch you go forward. Imagine how hard those where to testWell we got sebbi, jorma and sipe so that helped

It keeps getting better and better, I love it. I'll have to try to push back the limits!
In the Inside the Ball mode, the level ends with a half loop, so the vert and roof will count if you can get up there?
end starts like this in giant ball:
1) railroad where there is three loops.. (doable)
2) huge drop with pinball bats and dynamites so you have to spin just righ time (Doablle with luck and skill)
3) Huge stairs where there is dynamite on the edge.(Really really hard.. huge skill and huge luck)
4) Sloping raiload with dynamites so you have to loop again right time... and that is long road... (well you die here its just matter of how long you'll survive)
So imagine how hard is to go at the "end"![]()
