I mean I didn't even know what 'Splosion Man was the day ti came out, and I got it for the good price and since it was touted on the the dashboard.
I was not planning on getting any other of the Summer of Arcade titles because the prices sounded ludicrously ridiculous. And now that Turtles is down to 800, I'm actually thinking about going and getting some points to buy it.
RedLynx seems like a small indie developer, so it struck me weird when I cam to this site and knowing the price of the game. I'm not to interested in the premise, but you'd probably sell more/ make more money if it was cheaper. To be honest after looking around some 360 site (360achievements, Gamespot) not to many people are interested in the premise of Trials HD, and the price just makes it worse.
But anyway, good luck with your game, wish it the best of luck.
Because Trials HD is going to be 100% better than your average 800 points game and you only need to pay 50% more. It's a bargain
I also believe that the production values in general in XBLA are going up currently and 1200 points is going to be the new 800 points that you are so used to. Bigger games usually cost more to make and buy.
The quality will be remembered long after the price is forgotten.

Trials SE on the PC has been the best value game I've ever bought - on any platform - and I fully expect the Xbox sequel to surpase that by a long way.

Trials 2 Second Edition current price is 9.99$ at Steam and it started at 19.99$. Reviewers have stated that Trials 2 SE has over the top price to quality ratio, and players seem to agree completely.
Trials HD project team is over two times bigger than Trials 2 SE project team, and the project development time was almost a year. The project budget is pretty much comparable to retail box games. Because of this, Trials HD is much much more polished, and offers considerably better graphics, physics, sounds, music and track design compared to Trials 2 SE. Game features and online features have been improved as well. And you have the level editor to create as many extra tracks you like, and share them on Xbox Live with your friends. This is a feature rarely seen in other Live Arcade games. Trials HD feature set and quality is very close to retail box games. We at RedLynx think that Trials HD is a steal at 15$. Completely worth it.
Please test the demo version out before judging the price point. Trials HD is in no way comparable to older cheaper Live Arcade releases.
Today the first review of Trials HD came out. GameCinemaHD gave the game their first full 4.0/4.0 rating ever. Games such as Killzone 2, Street Fighter 4 and Dead Space have only got 3.5 ratings. The game has no appeal to me at all. I'm just saying, a company like Ubisoft can see the numbers for the new title like Splosion Man beating up on the fondly remembered Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, they even saw the 800 point price would be a better point for the Turtles game.
And who has heard of GamecinemaHD? When True reviews like IGNs come out, brag about theirs.
Well since I probably won't come back to this site after tonight, was just bored browsing Gamespot, I'll just say this. Trials is a small community. From what I've read, it doesn't seem to big on the 360 community. Starting at the higher end arcade price on your first release is a little tricky, especially since you have your strongest fanbase, the PC users, enraged about it.

I'm not saying that is how it will happen exactly, it's just how it seems it will be. You should look around, Trials HD is the least on radar game of the summer Arcade. Right after I did my first post I even went around to see what was up.
What I got back was basically 'Never heard of it and is kind of expensive" or "I'll put down $15 for Marvel Vs. Capcom and Shadow Complex because of Capcom and Epic, can't go wrong."
