Hi Guys,
I was just wondering what people are using for controls in this game, I am using xbox controller on my pc, I have clocked up about 40 hours or so now but I still dont seem to have real control of the bike, Do most of the pros use Keyboard or controller? is there much of a difference?
Cheers

P.S. Is it just me or is the confirmation on the sign up screen really hard to read, took me a few goes to get it, might be getting colour blind in my old age.
I use a PS2 gamepad, I love the d-pad on those, the d-pad is usually the weak point in PC controllers. I also think the XBOX360's controller's d-pad to be CRAP, I always end up hitting the wrong direction. I can't believe after all those years of gaming that companies still can't get it right. I remember the Nes and Super Nes had so much better d-pads than the Sega Master System and Genesis/Megadrive.
Without jumping to too many conclusions, I think I can safely say most, if not all top10 and top20 players use the good old arrow keys.
The arrow-keys are the **** (in a good way! (if ****s ever good(?))) man!
I use the arrow keys, I think it's faster than any controller.
But I'm probably an oddball, I use right hand for gas and brake and left hand for lean forward/backward.
I use the same method...Originally Posted by Ahhme2
Edit: Well... Not left hand on arrows, that is. I use A + D and Up + Down
Keyboard here... but the opposite of the guys above meW and S with <- and ->
I've just started playing Trials2 again after half a year off, and have immediately improved some of my old times, but there is still a lot of frustration over bike control. When trying to do the tricky stuff I feel like I have no real control over the outcome, it's like throwing a 20 sided dice and if it comes up 15-20 I'll make the stunt, otherwise I crash, and yet I feel like I'm trying to do the same thing each time. So I've been thinking about asking about controllers too.
For people who use keyboards, are you using regular or gaming keyboards? USB or PS/2 connections? Has anyone ever noticed improvements by using different types of keyboards?
Apparently regular USB keyboards don't really update very frequently, so it may be harder to very precisely time things such as doing crazy stunts on a trial bike, versus using a gaming keyboard that sends it's updates to the computer at much higher frequencies.
For instance - when I switched to using a Razor gaming mouse last year for World of Warcraft I noticed an immediate and very significant improvement in mouse feel and precision not just in games but even in regular desktop surfing.
I used to have a wireless keyboard, but when battery was dead, i switched to a wired keyboard and immediately my times where improving.
Never gone back to wireless ever since. I throw away a perfectly good keyboard because of trials II SE.
I'm using right hand on arrows and left hand on "R".
