all trials 2 players should boycott playing this game in my opinion.. dont buy it.
This is kind of odd comment, since the whole idea to create an Xbox arcade Trials game came originally from the Trials 2 players right here at these forums. We got lots of feedback from reviewers and gamers around the net, countless private messages and e-mails and the message was clear: "Please create an Xbox version of this game!". And since E3 expo first day (when the game was finally announced) I have browsed a lot around internet forums and hands on impressions of the game. Players and reviewers are really delighted to see the game on Xbox 360. "Finally!" has been the comment I have seen countless of times. Most of these comments are from Trials 2 SE players and many of them have been eagerly waiting for the Xbox 360 version since last summer. I know that this decision has not pleased all our fans, but it's wrong to say that majority of the Trials 2 players are not pleased. This is just not the case here. Many of the Trials series fans are really waiting to get their hands on Trials HD currently.Originally Posted by phiktion
The better Trials HD succeeds, the better we can create Trials series games in the future. In a long run all Trials games will boost the player base of the game series. As a result all possible future PC, console and handheld versions of the game will have a bigger fan base, more skilled competition in all track leaderboards, more user created levels, more active community forum and chat, more user created videos, more visibility in the media and even the possibility of tournaments with prices if the game gets really big in the future. These are all good things for the Trials series fans, including us (we are all hardcore players in the development team).
At the time when the Trials 2 SE Steam version was released we also got negative feedback from several players who have bought the original Trials 2 SE at our website, as the Steam version offered new features such as the Steam friend list and Steam chat and these players were unhappy to see a new version of the game. Now majority of the fans (including most of you) are playing the game because the Steam version was released. It boosted up the player base to 10 times the amount it was before. The Steam version was a very good thing for the Trials series. But it was not pleasing all our old fans. But look at the community now. Everyone is playing happily together the game they love.
I'm with sebbbi on this. I sure am saddened that this particular game isn't coming to PC but I believe that the better it does, the better for fans and devs, everybody wins. I am pretty sure that Redlynx won't forget their PC fans.
And I wanted to add that I do not have any doubt that this forum is going to be the meeting place for all the best Trials players. Pros will still meet here and discuss about the best strategies for each track, how to pass the hardest obstacles, how to make advanced tricks to save the last 0.001 seconds of the time, which bike is best on what track/tournament, post their videos, ask players to join their friend list. etc etc.
I do not worry at all about the younger players ruining the game experience for us hardcore players. Most of them won't ever find this forum, and we keep moderating the forum to keep all unbehaving ones in check.
The best thing about Trials HD is all the new added friend features. For example you can see real time comparison of your position in the track compared to all your friends. All your friend results are seen in the Skill Game tracks (arrows point how high for example "Anba" jumped at the height jump level). It's also easy to compare your results to your friend list results. etc etc.
Hahahaha what kind of a dumb comment is this?? If we all did that, it wouldnt matter anyway, cause you will still have all those people buying it on xbox anyway, it would make no difference!! i definately aint gonna not buy it!! i'll be buying it as soon as it comes out, unless i get a copy for review, but if that happens, i'm just lucky lolOriginally Posted by phiktion
But seriously, just stop moaning guys!!! if you dont like it, just get on with it!! and QC, Did you see my post about VGA cables and Xbox??

Everyone, please calm down a bit. Everyone is entitled to his own opinion. There is no need to use offensive language. All constructive criticism towards RedLynx and towards Trials HD is more than welcome. But please keep it civil. If you absolutely need to make personal attacks towards other users, please use private messages. And this goes to both sides of the fight.
Feel free to continue posting costructive criticism in this thread. All new offensive posts towards other users will be deleted.
Me wants more info on this... Forums got more active lately but it didn't last long. I want my injection of new info on Trials HD that I crave so much, got any fix for me?![]()
We soon have a big HD trailer coming up that shows a lot of in-game stuff and has some editor footage as well.Originally Posted by QcChopper
And now I am going to explain how the new in-game friend score comparision feature works:
Skill game friend scores:
This is the Delivery skill game. You have to haul the cart filled with bombs as far as you can in one minute time limit. If the bombs are shaken too much or fall out of the cart, they will explode. The score is simply the distance how far you can reach before the bombs explode or the time ends. While riding the track you can see the gamertags (player names) of the top 10 players in your friend list showing the positions where they have reached.
Trials racing friend scores:
This is one of the new hard racing tracks, called King of the Hill. You can see the friend comparison meter in the top of the screen. It shows in real time how much ahead/behind you are compared to the friend that is closest to you currently (and the player ranking - a feature not yet shown in this old screenshot). If you ride much faster or slower compared to the friend shown, the comparision meter will automatically swap to another friend that is closest to you. So you have always someone to race against. Currently I am racing against "jorsai2" (one of Jorma's test profiles).
