    Quitting

After 100 Hours 48 Minutes and 8 Seconds play time i quit.

    Reasons:

    1. Because it has now become impossible to get every achievement. Dont care what people say it is not possible to beat them scores anymore.

    2. Some of the hard tracks i have watched the top 10-20 replays and seen stuff they do and at first was very impressed. I even wrote down what buttons they press at certain points for how long they do it. I done this to see if what they done was actually possible. Came to conclussion it wasnt. For example on inferno i watched top 15 players and tryed for over 2 hours this evening to reconstruct what they done and to be frank its utter crap. Majority of players lean back and accelarate followed by leaning forward to throw themselves over the pallet onto metal then quickly lean back and forward again to jump and CLEAR the barrols. I tried this for near on 2 hours and could not do this. Now i have done it in the past but differently. In my opinion what these guys do is impossible as the tutorials do not teach you how to do this ****.

    3. Seriously some of the stuff the top players do they didnt learn themselves. Some of that stuff is daring to try and waste a flawless run. They have had help from somewhere.

So that is it im done with this game as it is no longer receiving updates and has become impossible to get all the achievements.

I will be back to check this topic. But that is it.

    Goodbye

what exactly do you mean by "they have had help from somewhere"?

and what achievements do you think are impossible? (apart from true fan)

writing down what buttons the top players press on Inferno is about as useful as trying to imitate a lion in order to catch a zebra. In the end, on a track like Inferno, you have to have a good understanding of how the bike reacts to different things. Getting the exact same keystrokes as the #1 guy isn't possible anyway, so no use trying that.

I just don't really know how to respond to you.. there are several players who managed 24 achievements (and some who did 25). Are you calling them cheaters or what?

The only secret is hard work. This game is hardcore and punishes you harder than almost any other game when you make a small mistake. Any player can vouch for that..

How can the TOP players have help from somewhere? They are the BEST players, there is nobody better than them, therefore nobody that can help. If you are talking about cheats, then kindly visit this link: Click
But sure, good luck quitting. See you on in a week.

All the achievements, except two, don't involve getting a top place at the leaderboards. But they sure involve one simple thing: practise. If the game was just about copy/pasting the way of the top players, there wouldn't be much of an interest. There is a physics engine affecting the way bike reacts and that means even a slight/minimal change (on leaning, angle, speed, everything) can bring the whole run upside/down and nowhere near the expected...

Other than that, the part "they get help from somewhere" is really offensive. I understand that you can be frustrated, but pay more attention on what you're saying and who you may insult, more or less.

Even for the True Fan award, 33 people so far proved that it's not impossible. It's just about being creative and contributing to the community in a unique way. This, or we all bribed RedLynx to give us that precious award.

You have played 48 minutes more than me (got my 100 hours today), and I don't feel the way you do at all. Looks to me that you try too hard to be a top player, instead of just enjoying the game for what it is.

I have no long-term goals in this game at all. I set myself small goals all the time that I try to achieve, and thats always goals that I can achieve in a not too distant future. Goals like being on top 500 on a track, being top 10 on a track for my country (norway), being top 500 on ranking, beating my own record on a track, doing a track without faults and so on. When I get better, I adjust my goals. Today I'm ranked as 666 which I think is damn cool.

And really... You can't just try to copy the top players by writing down their key presses. I doubt the top players themself do the same part on a track with just identical key presses. It's all about balance. You cant learn how to balance a stick on your finger by writing down right-left-right-right-left.

Learn it the hard way by practicing and understanding WHY those keypresses are made. And you should look more on the players that are NOT top players. They do things in a more understandable way...

    For NorfaiR:

Im not calling anyone a cheater. I know that the the topped rank players work god damn hard to get where they are and im not taking that away from them.

What im saying is what is the point in trying to do something that can no longer be done. The achievments im talking about are rank 1 and rank 5+ on any track. Its just not simply possible anymore. People like lestropie and hugh have mastered the control of the bike and its movements so they can set immense times i couldnt even dream of beating.

    ------------------

    For soad667:

I would not try and insult someone as stated above they have worked hard for there position. True fan award is still possible to achieve as you said its just finding something to put into the community.

    ------------------

    For ToaTheBoa:

I dont set myself long term goals. My current goals before yesterday where to get below 6 minutes on easy trackes (Im at 6:18) and just lower my faults my on inferno to below 188 which is my current.

    -----------------
    +

Addition to this the only track i havent completed is YSNP. I have asked for help on this in the past and no one helped. Yet i noticed earlier that in one topic someone asked on how to get over the rock mountain in diablo and several people jumped to help them. You seriously expect me to stay on a game were people are obvisouly picky with who they help.

With 50,000+ players now, of course Top Score and Top Dog are going to be difficult. But the fact of the matter is, if all of the achievements were nerfed so that everyone could get them, they wouldn't feel like so much of an achievement when you do get them. Besides, you still have a long list of other achievements that you haven't obtained yet.

I would also go back and attempt some of the easier tracks before attempting Inferno/Diablo/YSNP. I would get 0 faults on all hard tracks (except Inferno), all of the other downloadable tracks and the dynamic tracks. That in itself is an achievement and a much more realistic goal.

The fact of the matter is that to get a top 10 time, you can't take safe routes where you are guaranteed to get a flawless run. You have to go for the fastest of routes and techniques which are very difficult to land, but are very fast when you do. It is actually very rare for me to complete a track; I probably hit the R button more than anyone else here. But when I do eventually clear the track, it's fast because I have taken every single shortcut.

Rest assured that there is no conspiracy to help out all Trials2SE riders other than NicoH. If you have asked for YSNP help on the forums, I can't find it. If it was in the chat, I was most likely not there, but even so, I would highly recommend reducing your faults on other tracks before looking for help with YSNP.

Ok first of all Nico, don't quit man :/. Quitters quit (:. Just set your goals a bit lower at first. You really can't expect to beat people who have played hundreds of hours more than you (well easily at least). It takes practise.

Lestropie what is the point, the levels i have left i cannot no fault. All i want to do is get below 6 minutes on easy tracks. I cant do it because everytime i play the game i get more and more frustrated with it. And complete YSNP, I was in chat for 3 hours today and no 1 seemed to be talking so i left. This evening i was in there for an hour one person joined said hello got ignored by everyone and left.

All i need to know is how to get up first hill because i honestly do not see how it is possible. Oh yeah and i also cannot bounce the bike, everytime i make it land slighlty forward on backwheel it just breaks the bike.

the thing is, if you see this game as an achivements game (like xbox 360 style achivements) you are on a loser for a start, i have 2 tracks left to 0 fault, diablo and ysnp.. there is no achievement for doing this but i know how much joy i will get when i finally manage it... and i will.. nothing in this game is impossible, some people are just better than other (as with anything else in life)

I don't play as often now I got to top 100, that's not because I think what other people have done is uimpossible, it's because I also have other things to do

The bit you say about people risking something to get a top score on a hard track, that's the idea... you wouldn't do that if you hadn't already 0 faulted the track at least 20 times

I guess you just don't get it but don't insult the people that do

hope you enjoy the nice, easy, kids game you play next
