Would like to Buy this game!
I downloaded the demo from steam. It crashes every time. It does seem to work if I turn off the sound. I can play the other demo (monster truck) with sound no issues. Is there a workaround?

Upgrade your Sound Blaster drivers. Especially Sound Blaster Vista drivers have been really really poor since Vista launch. Trials 2 SE is not the only game crashing because of this issue.
